Plan at a glance
Location, tickets, and hours
Jiuru Mountain Waterfall Scenic Area is in Xiying Subdistrict, Licheng District. Set navigation to “Jiuru Mountain Resort Scenic Area Second Car Park,” which leaves you closer to the entrance. Ticket prices are not fixed: the reference price is CNY 68 in the low season from November to March and CNY 98 in the peak season from April to October. Online specials may appear at CNY 59 or CNY 79, and student tickets are listed at CNY 39–49; package contents and craft activities vary by channel, date, and ticket type.
Opening and time needed
Hours are 08:30–18:00 Monday–Friday and 08:00–18:00 Saturday–Sunday. About 10 kilometres of timber boardwalk connect the area. Waterfalls, boardwalks, and forest
Tianzhu Waterfall, Rainforest Valley, and the waterfalls along the route form the natural core. The boardwalk is generally gentle and suits light hiking and photography. Seasonal experiences include February orchid flowers in spring, an infinity pool in summer, and a fish-catching pool; choose according to the date of your visit.
Crafts and resort facilities
The Art and Culture Town offers baking, sachet-making, chocolate, and other craft activities, some of which may be included in packages. Families can focus on crafts and water activities, while couples and photographers may prefer the hilltop castle, pool, or summer fireworks; read the inclusions of each ticket type first.
Build your day
3–4-hour family route
Enter from the Second Car Park, follow the boardwalk to the Art and Culture Town, and choose a craft activity before taking the shuttle to the summit area. See the infinity pool and Secret Castle, then take the shuttle back down. Popular craft studios may have queues, so confirm the activity and queue procedure before buying a package.
2–3-hour waterfall route
Take the shuttle to the summit soon after entry, see the main viewpoint, and walk down along the timber boardwalk through the waterfall group and Rainforest Valley. The descent still requires walking; older visitors and children can buy a return shuttle instead of attempting all 10 kilometres of boardwalk in one day.
Get there
Arrival and local transport
Driving is easiest and takes about 1 hour from central Jinan. The Second Car Park is closer to the entrance than the First Car Park. Buses 312 and 329 take longer, and a return taxi can be difficult to find, so visitors without a car should arrange the return in advance.
Set navigation to the Second Car Park, which links more directly to parking and entry. Inside, movement is by boardwalk, shuttle, and walking; craft activities, the pool, and the shuttle are charged according to the ticket type or on-site arrangement.

Practical considerations
Ticket prices, packages, and online discounts change, so compare channels before travelling. Package craft activities may be fixed, and popular baking studios can add waiting time. Food choices are limited, while the pool and other facilities depend on maintenance, crowds, and weather.
Summer-night fireworks, bonfires, and band activities are listed for 24 July–31 August. The reference schedule is about 18:30–20:30 Sunday–Thursday and may run to 21:00 on Friday and Saturday; after that period, follow the current programme. Boardwalks and waterside paths can be slippery, so wear shoes with grip and carry water.
