Plan at a glance
Location and entry
Qilin Mountain Scenic Area is in Xingnong Town, Jidong County. The usual destination is the main gate or visitor center. Routes combine lakeside stops, mountain walking, and amusement facilities, so the walking effort differs between the short and full options.
No reservation is generally required. The usual hours are 8:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:30. The basic admission ticket is RMB 20 per person in peak season and RMB 15 in the off-season. Paid attractions and package discounts follow the ticket desk's same-day rules.
How much time to allow
Allow about two to three hours for Qilin Lake, the artificial waterfall, and one or two elevated activities. The Qilin Sky Trail, Dianjiangtai lookout, and the amusement areas take about four to five hours as a fuller visit.
The full option includes both climbing and descending. Weather and the operation of individual facilities can change the schedule, while a lake walk, a family visit, or a mountain-only outing can be shorter.

Choose your visit
Qilin Lake, waterfall, and elevated attractions
Qilin Lake and the artificial waterfall are in the main landscape area and make natural lakeside stops. The waterfall's flow and opening arrangement follow the day's operation.
The elevated rafting ride is more than 800 metres long. The glass suspension bridge and cloud walkway offer different elevated views and crossings. Weather, maintenance, and daily operation can close a facility; some elevated attractions require visitors to be at least 1.2 metres tall.
Qilin Sky Trail and Dianjiangtai
The full mountain route climbs the Qilin Sky Trail, passes Yixiantian (一线天, “One-Line Sky”), and reaches Dianjiangtai lookout. At about 555 metres above sea level, the lookout offers views over Qilin Mountain and Qilin Lake. This route is mainly for mountain walking and views, with amusement facilities considered after the descent.
The park also has a rainbow slide and a small-animal area for families or a lighter visit. Animal displays, interactions, and rides follow the day's arrangement and may not all be open.
Build your day
About two to three hours: the short route
Enter through the main gate and walk, or take the small train if it is operating, to the central landscape area. Start with the elevated rafting ride and glass bridge, then stop at Qilin Lake, see the artificial waterfall, and rest. Decide at that point whether to add the summit; the short route takes about two to three hours.
If the small train is not running, walk along the main park road. The glass bridge, rafting course, and summit area may close in bad weather, so arrange the remaining stops around the facilities that are open.
About four to five hours: the full route
Start on the Qilin Sky Trail and climb through Yixiantian to Dianjiangtai. After taking in the view, descend along the open route and then choose the elevated rafting ride, rainbow slide, or small-animal area. The full visit takes about four to five hours.
Complete the mountain section before committing to the amusement areas. When weather changes, follow the closure signs and do not enter an unopened trail or viewpoint. Leave each facility by the park's signed route.
Get there
Driving and public transport
Driving from central Jixi takes about one hour. From Jixi Railway Station, the journey is also about one hour; a hired car is around RMB 200 per vehicle, although the actual fare varies by date and vehicle. Navigate to “Qilin Mountain Scenic Area” or the visitor center in Xingnong Town.
Public transport is limited and irregular. Non-drivers should arrange the outbound trip, the return, and the pickup point at the gate before entering.
Parking and moving inside the park
Parking can be tight in peak periods, so arriving earlier in the morning helps. Confirm the parking area and fee from the signs. Attractions are spread across the lake, mountain paths, and amusement areas; move between them using the park's signs.
The small train may connect the entrance with the central area. Its operation, stops, and fee follow the day's arrangement. Visitors walking uphill or bringing a stroller should ask about shuttles, ramps, and usable paths first.
Know before you go
Tickets, packages, and facility hours
The basic admission ticket is RMB 20 per person in peak season and RMB 15 in the off-season. The elevated rafting ride, glass facilities, and other amusement attractions cost extra, as do combination packages. Before buying a package, confirm its price, included attractions, which attractions are operating that day, and any concession documents; weather or operations can still suspend a package attraction.
The usual park hours are 8:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:30. Temporary closure and facility shutdowns can follow the weather. The artificial waterfall, rafting, glass attractions, slide, and winter activities each have their own operating conditions.
Height, weather, and food
Some elevated attractions require a minimum height of 1.2 metres. Staff at the entrance decide whether a child can ride under the day's rules. Rain, strong wind, or another weather control can close mountain and elevated facilities, so adjust the route to the open areas.
Tables near the water can be scarce in peak season. Before eating or arranging a barbecue, ask whether a reservation or designated area is required. Use only the equipment allowed in an open area and do not bring fuel gel, solid alcohol fuel, or other fire-starting products. If elevated activities are closed, use the lake walk and open mountain routes instead.
