Boarding entrance after buying a ticket
Nanchang Warship Theme Park is on the southeast side of the intersection of Huanghe Road and Ganjiang North Avenue in Honggutan District. After buying a ticket, go to the gangway marked “海军南昌舰” (“Nanchang Naval Ship”) and board there. This entrance is separate from the east entrance of Jiangxi Provincial Museum, even though the two attractions are in the same general area.
Ticket price and seasonal hours
The standard adult ticket is about CNY 50, with possible online discounts. From May 1 to October 31, hours are about 08:30–17:30, with ticket sales ending at 16:45. From November 1 to April 30, hours are about 09:00–17:00, with ticket sales ending at 16:15. Maintenance and special dates follow the park’s same-day notice. Children under 1.2 m, visitors aged 70 and above, active-duty military personnel, and other eligible visitors can have free admission verified with valid documents.
Visit intensity and time
For the deck, wheelhouse, and ammunition magazine only, allow 1–1.5 hours. A full walk through the deck, bridge, living quarters, ammunition magazine, and stern takes about 2–2.5 hours. Moving between decks is more demanding than in a regular museum, so adjust the route for older visitors and children according to the stairs and crowding.

The upper deck and Gan River views
The deck looks across both banks of the Gan River and may give you a view of Yingxiong Bridge (英雄大桥) with the ship. Military enthusiasts can start with the deck layout and weapon positions. Photographers will find daylight better for the deck, while access to every deck section depends on the on-site safety directions.
Bridge, wheelhouse, and living quarters
The wheelhouse instruments, steering wheel, and bridge show how the ship was operated. The living quarters, including the meeting room, dining room, and cabins, show how the crew lived. The two sections answer different questions, so viewing them in the order “work areas, then living spaces” gives the visit a clearer rhythm.
Ammunition magazine and interactive activities
The ammunition magazine is a distinctive stop and may contain training rounds or interactive displays. VR and check-in wristband activities may cost extra, and their prices and availability can change. Specific interactive activities depend on the area open that day; photography and touching also follow staff directions and safety lines.

The 2–2.5 hour full boarding route
Board from the stern gangway, go first to the uppermost deck for the Gan River and ship views, then enter the bridge and wheelhouse. Continue down to the living quarters for the meeting room, dining room, and cabins, finish at the ammunition magazine, and return to the stern as directed. This order moves from the open deck into narrower interior spaces and completes the main view first.
The 1–1.5 hour focused route
With limited time, go straight from the stern to the uppermost deck, then see the wheelhouse and ammunition magazine before returning along the original passage. Add the living quarters if queues are short and energy allows. When the interior is crowded, complete the three main stops first and reduce time on the narrow stairs.
Leaving the ship and returning
After the visit, leave the ship through the on-site exit and return to the theme park or Ganjiang North Avenue. If you are visiting the provincial museum on the same day, check the last-entry time, entrance distance, and queues for both places separately before deciding which one to visit first. There is no shared return route or joint ticket.
Get there
Metro and buses
From Exit 3 of Changjiang Road Station (长江路站) on Line 1, walk about 20 minutes. Buses 252, 506, and 820 stop at Fenghuangzhou, followed by a walk of about 10 minutes. Navigate to “海军南昌舰” or Nanchang Warship Theme Park, then look for the gangway sign inside the park; the provincial museum entrance does not lead to the ship.
Driving and nearby parking
Drivers can navigate to “Nanchang Warship Theme Park Car Park.” Spaces are usually available, but holiday parking still follows the on-site arrangement. Food choices inside the park are limited, so bring water before boarding and plan a proper meal near the provincial museum or back in the city.
Know before you go
Stairs, space, and footwear
Ship stairs are generally narrow and steep, and interior passages can become crowded. Wear flat, secure shoes and hold the handrail. Older visitors and children should face the steps while moving. If traffic becomes one-way or stops, wait as staff direct you and keep the stair entrance clear for people passing through.
Older facilities and interactive boundaries
Some parts of the ship show rust or aging facilities, which is normal for a vessel open to visitors. The availability, price, and content of training-round displays, VR, wristband activities, and other paid experiences can change. Photography and touching ranges follow the signs; whether an activity is open is shown on site that day.
Tickets, food, and combining the museum
Adult tickets for Nanchang Warship and entry to Jiangxi Provincial Museum with valid identification are handled separately. Check online discounts, eligible free-admission documents, and seasonal ticket-sale cutoffs for each place. The theme park mainly has drink vending machines and few nearby food choices; if you add the provincial museum, allow separate entrance and queue time.
