Migration and surname culture
The main subjects are the memory of Guangfu migration south, surname records, Baixing Hall, and the ancestral halls of different clans. It suits people tracing family roots, but visitors without a family connection can also use the halls, inscriptions, and lanes to understand Lingnan migration history.
Architecture and village life
South Gate Tower, Middle Gate Tower, North Gate Tower, Guifei Pagoda, Shashui Lake, the thousand-year-old banyan, and Sima Bridge make up the architectural and outdoor sights. The cobbled lanes still have a village atmosphere. Some courtyards and ancestral halls are independently managed, so do not expect every door to remain open.

Combining it with Meiguan Ancient Post Road
Zhuji Ancient Lane is about 20 minutes by car from Meiguan Ancient Post Road, making a Nanxiong cultural day or two-day route possible. For a same-day combination, calculate the lane's final entry time and Meiguan's unlit descent time. Do not start both places late in the afternoon.
Get there
Driving
Driving from the Pearl River Delta takes about 3.5–4 hours. Navigate to “Zhuji Ancient Lane Ticket Office.” There is parking near the ticket office and there may be roadside spaces, but use regulated parking areas and keep the entrance roads clear for vehicles and villagers.
Public transport
After arriving at Shaoguan Station by high-speed rail, transfer by bus to Nanxiong Bus Station, then take bus 7 or a taxi. Buses from Shaoguan East Bus Station also run toward Zhuji Ancient Lane. A taxi from central Nanxiong takes about 20 minutes. Plan extra time for buses and ride-hailing vehicles on the return.

Tickets and concessions
The adult reference ticket price is CNY 40. Students, seniors, local residents, and some themed clothing activities may have different concessions; confirm eligibility and availability on site. Do not plan the entire visit around a possible free-entry period in the evening, as the daytime indoor content is more complete.
Shoes, weather, and food
Wear flat shoes with good grip on the cobbles, and bring sun protection and insect repellent in summer. Nanxiong food is spicy, so mention your tolerance when ordering. Eat outside the lane or in Nanxiong if needed, but do not use the final entry and return time for a meal.
Ancestral-hall access
The lane itself is open, but every ancestral hall, family courtyard, and indoor exhibition space has its own management. Respect ancestor-worship and village activities. Courtyards under maintenance or not open to visitors may not be accessible.
