Location and park character
Suizhou Cultural Park is on Yingbin Avenue in Zengdu District. It is free to enter all day and is divided into eastern, central, and western sections. The park combines Shennong culture, bell-themed sculptures, lakeside walking, and urban leisure, making it suitable for an easy 1–3-hour visit.
There are several entrances, and the Yingbin Avenue main entrance is the most convenient starting point for Bianzhong Guangchang (编钟广场, Bell Square) and Shennong Tan (神农坛, Shennong Altar). The bells and altar are park scenery; for museum exhibitions, make a separate visit to Suizhou Museum. The two places offer different kinds of experience.
Main route options
A short route of about 1 hour can cover Bianzhong Guangchang, the lakeside path, and Shennong Tan. A deeper 2–3-hour route adds Jiliang Guangchang (季梁广场) and Linshui Changlang (临水长廊, Waterfront Promenade), plus a rest on the lawn or a bench. The park is open all day, but night lighting follows the facilities and activities arranged that day.

Bianzhong Guangchang and Shennong Tan
Bianzhong Guangchang features large bell-themed sculptures and works well for architectural and public-art photographs. Shennong Tan is an important stop on the lakeside route; shoot it from the steps or below for symmetrical compositions and city views.
Jiliang Guangchang, Linshui Changlang, and the lakeside stone shore offer a slower walking pace. The promenade is suitable for photographing the lake, building reflections, and people, while the hillside viewpoint looks over flower beds, water, and distant buildings.
A relaxed outdoor visit
The park suits city walks, morning exercise, evening leisure, and light photography. The focus is outdoor space and lakeside walking; visitors who want Suizhou's historical exhibitions should list the museum as a separate stop, as the park itself does not provide a museum-style collection visit.
Build your day
About 1 hour: lakeside short route
Enter through the Yingbin Avenue main entrance, go first to Bianzhong Guangchang for photos, then walk along the lake to Shennong Tan. Climb to the top for park and city views, and leave through the exit on the other side.
After the lakeside walk, you can leave directly or return towards the main entrance for more rest. The route is mainly outdoor space: the bell sculptures are photo subjects, and Shennong Tan is the main viewpoint and composition stop.
2–3 hours: deeper relaxed route
From the main entrance, walk first to Jiliang Guangchang, continue slowly along Linshui Changlang to observe the lake, reflections, and shoreline space, and then go to Shennong Tan. After visiting the altar, rest on the lawn or a bench before leaving from a suitable entrance.
This route combines walking and rest in one visit. Add the lakeside stone shore or hillside viewpoint if the paths are open and accessible that day. Fishing is prohibited at the lake.
Get there
Railway station and bus
From Suizhou Railway Station, the park is about a 1.5-km walk, or you can take Bus 16. After reaching the Yingbin Avenue side, start at the main entrance to reach Bianzhong Guangchang and Shennong Tan first.
Driving and parking
Navigate to “Suizhou Cultural Park.” The car park has a good number of spaces and charging points. Parking has recently become chargeable; check the on-site signs for the current fee and available spaces, and choose among the park's entrances according to the day's route.

Free entry and on-site facilities
The park is free to enter all day, with no admission ticket. Parking may be chargeable. Night lighting can change with maintenance and activities, so confirm on the day if you are visiting specifically for the evening view. Fishing is prohibited, and the maintenance of some public toilets may vary; use the facilities available along the route when taking a longer walk.
The bells in the park are themed sculptures. Suizhou Museum has the region's historical and bell exhibitions; the park does not display the genuine bells from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng, and the sculptures are not museum artifacts.
Food and combining nearby visits
After the park, you can try local dishes such as Guaizi Fan (拐子饭), Guangshui Huarou (广水滑肉), or Lishan Furu (厉山腐乳). Caodianzi Street (草甸子街), Wenfeng Pagoda Square, and the Leigudun area are further options, each with its own route and opening arrangements; food and evening activities depend on the day.
If you visit Suizhou Museum or Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng on the same day, plan each as a separate attraction with its own walking and transport time. The museum covers historical exhibitions, the tomb site covers the archaeological find spot, and the park provides free outdoor space in the city.
