Millennium Ginkgo Valley Cultural Tourism Area is currently operating normally. It is in Group 6 of Yongxing Village, Luoyang Town, Zengdu District, Suizhou, with the main entrance near Wulaoshu Square (五老树广场, literally “Five Old Trees Square”). First-time visitors can use the square as the main target for entering the attraction and finding the old ginkgo trees.
Jiukouyan, Hujihe, and Zhangfan villages also have old ginkgo trees, but they are village areas outside the core attraction. Their free viewing arrangements are separate from the ticketed core area. This is a good choice for autumn foliage, a slow self-drive, and village photography, with a different focus from Dahong Mountain's mountain routes.

The current adult ticket is about CNY 78; online prices may vary by date and product, so use the product available for your travel date. November is the main viewing month. The most concentrated yellow foliage often appears in mid-to-late November, but the exact timing depends on that year's weather.
The current opening window is about 08:30–18:00, with ticket sales and entry stopping at 17:00. The core area, entrances, and same-day services can change, so check the day's arrangements before setting out. Even while the attraction is operating normally, peak-season traffic can slow the approach and entry.

Wulaoshu Square and the golden villages
Wulaoshu Square is the core attraction's main highlight. Five old trees are arranged in a palm-like pattern and are commonly associated with wishes for peace, children, and prosperity. Around mid-to-late November, the trees, grey-tiled houses, and stone paths can form a golden village scene for photographing canopies, fallen leaves, and everyday rural life.
Jiukouyan, Hujihe, and Zhangfan are useful places to look for village ginkgo and rural photo positions outside the core attraction. You can complete part of the tree-viewing experience without buying a core-area ticket. In Jiukouyan, Hongyan Café (红堰咖啡馆) and the Memorial Hall of the Fifth Division of the New Fourth Army can be visited as separate village stops.
Choose a slower viewing style
A self-drive village tour suits visitors who have limited time and want to observe the autumn colour along the roads. Walking inside the core attraction gives more attention to Wulaoshu Square and the details of the old trees. Photography-focused visitors can use November as the priority window and choose the date according to the foliage that year; slower travellers can add a village experience or a guesthouse stay.
Build your day
1–2 hours: outer-village drive
Drive slowly along the local roads through villages such as Jiukouyan and Hujihe, looking at roadside ginkgo, houses, and farmland scenery. This route takes about 1–2 hours and mainly covers villages outside the core attraction; you can leave afterward or continue to the ticketed area.
It suits visitors who only want autumn scenery, have limited time, or do not plan to buy a core-area ticket. Village roads are narrow, and when weekend traffic increases during the viewing season, follow the temporary traffic arrangements. Avoid turning around or parking for a long time wherever you like.
3–5 hours: core-and-village highlights route
Start in Jiukouyan, where you can pause at Hongyan Café (红堰咖啡馆) or visit the New Fourth Army memorial hall. Continue to Hujihe for village ginkgo, then enter the core attraction and walk to Wulaoshu Square. The opening status and the time worth spending at each stop depend on the day.
After Wulaoshu Square, you can choose Luori Valley (落日山谷), Dale Zhiye (大乐之野), or Yaoyuan Rural Kiln (窑远·乡村柴窑) as a rest stop before ending the visit. Cafés, guesthouses, and the kiln experience require separate payment, and their opening status should be confirmed for the day.

Driving and entrance navigation
Driving from Wuhan takes about 2–2.5 hours. Search for “Suizhou Millennium Ginkgo Valley Cultural Tourism Area,” or follow the day's directions to the core entrance near Wulaoshu Square. If you plan to visit Jiukouyan, Hujihe, or Zhangfan, check the village roads separately and distinguish free village viewing points from the core ticket entrance.
The roads inside and around the attraction are narrow, and traffic can build up in November and on weekends. Parking locations, shuttle arrangements, and any temporary traffic controls follow the day's on-site instructions.
Designated parking and entry
When traffic controls are in place, follow the signs to a designated car park, such as the Zhangfan car park, then take the shuttle into the core area if instructed. The parking location, shuttle method, and open entrance may change with visitor numbers.

If you continue to Dahong Mountain Scenic Area or Yan Emperor Cultural Tourism Area, plan their transport and time separately; each has its own entrance, ticket arrangements, and visiting focus.
