Plan at a glance
Temple and visit length
Dule Temple is at 41 Wuding Street in Jizhou District, entered through the Dule Temple archway. A quick visit takes about one hour. If you include the temple’s main buildings and a walk to Baita Temple, Yuyang Old Street, and other sites on a combined ticket, allow 2–3 hours. This is a historic temple that retains its religious character, so architectural observation, etiquette, and quiet visiting matter equally.
Tickets and opening
An adult ticket is about CNY33. A combined ticket covering Baita Temple, the Confucian Temple, and Luban Temple has been around CNY40. The scenic-area notice gives seasonal hours of about 8:00–18:00 from 1 May to 8 October, 8:00–17:30 from 9 October to 30 October, 8:00–17:00 from 1 November to 15 March, and 8:00–17:30 from 16 March to 30 April, with ticket sales ending 30 minutes earlier. Temporary closures and maintenance follow the scenic-area notice. Confirm the included sites and the opening hours of each one before departure.

Choose your visit
Gate hall and Guanyin Pavilion
The Liao-dynasty clay sculptures in the gate hall, the timber structure of Guanyin Pavilion, and the eleven-faced Guanyin statue are the main highlights. Follow the visitor route quietly and do not pose for long in worship areas. For inscriptions, architectural details, and the building’s earthquake history, follow the temple’s own explanations and rely on clear historical and artistic information.
Baita Temple and the surrounding heritage
Baita Temple is very close to Dule Temple and can be added through the combined ticket or as a nearby choice. Understand the pagoda’s date, form, and access from on-site information. Yuyang Old Street, the Confucian Temple, and Luban Temple add context about Jizhou’s urban history, but they are not internal spaces of Dule Temple and do not share one universal admission time.
Build your day
A one-hour short route
Enter through the archway, follow the central axis to the gate hall and Hengha Generals, then view the exterior and main statue inside Guanyin Pavilion from permitted positions. Walk around the courtyard and leave through the exit. The short visit centres on architecture and the main statue; visitors do not need to take part in religious rituals.
A 2–3 hour full route
Complete the main Dule Temple visit first. If the combined ticket and opening conditions allow, walk to Baita Temple, then continue along Yuyang Old Street to the Confucian Temple or Luban Temple. Return to public streets after each site rather than assuming a combined ticket skips every ticket check. If time is limited, keep Dule Temple and Baita Temple and leave the other courtyards for another visit.
Get there
From Beijing and Tianjin
From Beijing, take a train from Beijing Station to Jizhou Station, then take a taxi or Bus 533 toward Jizhou Drum Tower. From central Tianjin, long-distance buses toward Jizhou leave from Tongsha Coach Station and take about two hours. Check services, last departures, and the connection from Jizhou Station on the day; do not rely on finding a taxi informally for a late return.
Driving and parking
Navigate to Dule Temple’s parking area. Nearby parking exists, but spaces, fees, and the walking entrance follow on-site conditions. After parking, use public roads to reach the archway rather than entering through a shop or a side gate of the temple.
Know before you go
Religious etiquette
Keep quiet in the halls and dress appropriately. Do not touch statues, offerings, or architectural elements, and do not use flash or speak loudly in worship areas. If a religious service, chanting, or staff instruction is in progress, give way to the ritual space and follow temple etiquette.
Weather and maintenance
Timber buildings, stone steps, and courtyards can be slippery in rain or snow, so wear shoes with good grip. Temporary maintenance may close Guanyin Pavilion or another area. Confirm opening and the combined ticket before deciding to connect Dule Temple with Huangyaguan, Panshan, or Limutai; these attractions are far away and require a vehicle connection.
Viewing positions
Photograph the gate hall, Guanyin Pavilion, and red walls from public roads or designated positions. Keep away from worship routes and hall entrances. Seating, opening, and photography permission at the café opposite follow the café’s own rules.
What the combined ticket covers
A combined ticket covers only the sites and valid date printed on it. It does not automatically include other Jizhou attractions. After buying it, check the opening times of Baita Temple, the Confucian Temple, and Luban Temple separately.
