Location and ride length

The Tianjin Eye stands on Yongle Bridge at the Sanchahekou in Hebei District. Visitors check in at the ground-level plaza before taking the bridge-side entrance to the cabins. Photographing the wheel and riding it are separate activities: you do not need a Ferris-wheel ticket to view or photograph it from outside, while boarding requires a reservation time and ticket check. One revolution takes about 30 minutes; including arrival, the queue, and photos, allow around 1–1.5 hours.

Tickets and reservations

From 20 April 2026, the daytime fare through 18:00 is CNY90 per person, and the evening fare after 18:00 is CNY138. Children and visitors aged 65 or above have a half-price policy. These prices are tied to an effective date; future fares, sessions, and discounts should be checked through the current official service account, “天津之眼摩天轮.” Weekend and holiday evening release times, on-site ticketing, and the advance booking window are all subject to the current page. International visitors should confirm passport real-name registration, WeChat binding, and payment in advance. If the online booking cannot be completed, contact the official customer service first to confirm an alternative entry method.

Choose your visit

Ride or view from outside

A cabin ride gives views over the Sanchahekou, Yongle Bridge, and the city riverbanks. It suits first-time visitors to Tianjin, people who enjoy a high city viewpoint, and families looking for a landmark experience. Daytime makes the river and buildings easier to see, while the period around sunset can show changing sky and city lights together. If you only want wheel photos, choose a riverside route without boarding.

Photo locations

Jingang Bridge works for a full view of the wheel and reflections on the water. Under Yongle Bridge, a wide-angle upward view is possible. Near Xinzhuaqiao by Beiyunhe Station, you may be able to frame a train, the wheel, and the skyline together. Vehicles and bicycles pass on the bridge, riverbank, and adjacent roads, so take photos only from permitted standing areas and never step into a traffic lane for a better angle.

Build your day

A 1–1.5 hour short route

From Beiyunhe Station, walk to the plaza under Yongle Bridge. Complete the ticket check or take outside photos first, then board during your reserved time if you have a ticket. After the ride, walk to Jingang Bridge for a full view, then return along a safe path to the metro station or a legitimate parking area. End this short route here; Ancient Culture Street and the Haihe cruise require separate planning.

A 3–4 hour combined route

You can walk from the Tianjin Eye to Ancient Culture Street, spend around 1.5–2 hours there including a meal, and reach the ground-level Tianjin Eye check-in point before your reserved time. The reservation time is part of arrival and queue management, and actual boarding may still be affected by crowds. Afterward, return from the bridge area on foot or by taxi. Riverside night lighting varies with the date and weather.

Get there

Metro and cycling

From Exit B2 of Beiyunhe Station on Metro Line 6, walk south along Tiantai Road for about 1.2 kilometres, or 15–20 minutes, to the plaza under Yongle Bridge. A shared bicycle can shorten the approach from the station, but bike parking around Yongle Bridge is managed; return it only in an approved area.

Driving and entrances

Parking nearby is limited. Do not leave a car temporarily on the roadside under the bridge; use a legitimate car park and walk to the entrance signs at either end of Yongle Bridge. Ticket checking is at the ground-level plaza. Follow the on-site route onto the bridge rather than looking for a cabin entrance directly from the bridge deck.

Know before you go

Queues and weather

A successful reservation does not mean immediate boarding, and queues can grow considerably in peak periods. The river wind can be strong at night, so a light jacket may be useful even in summer. Rain, strong wind, or equipment maintenance can affect operations; check the day’s operating status and refund or change rules before departure.

Nearby spending and safety

Mobile photographers and snack vendors may approach visitors around the bridge. Confirm service details and prices before paying rather than relying on verbal promises. At night, keep away from the outside of railings, waterside edges, and closed platforms. If you continue to Ancient Culture Street, the Haihe cruise, or Dabei Temple, check each place’s opening, ticketing, and etiquette requirements separately.

Arriving for a reserved time

Follow the order to the ground-level ticket-check point and allow time for security screening and queues. Crowd control and equipment operation follow staff instructions.

Children and older visitors

Take care on steps and near railings when children and older visitors cross the bridge or board. Those not riding may wait on the public riverside, but the waiting place should be away from traffic and heavy pedestrian flow.
