Scale and visit length

Haichang Polar Ocean Park is at No. 61 in the Xiangluowan business district of Binhai New Area. It includes polar-animal halls, theatres, an underwater tunnel, and indoor and outdoor spaces for jellyfish and other displays. A quick visit takes about 3–4 hours; following the performance schedule and visiting several halls usually takes most of a day or a full day. It suits families and visitors interested in animals and marine themes, but children’s stamina and crowd levels also matter.

Tickets and opening

An adult ticket is about CNY290 and children under one metre are free. Check real-name tickets and the day’s price through the official account or ticket platform before departure. Peak-season hours have previously extended to around 9:00–20:30, but actual opening, evening activities, and last entry follow the seasonal and event pages. If real-name ticketing is used that day, international visitors should confirm whether passport registration is supported. If online booking cannot be completed, contact official customer service first to confirm an alternative entry method.

Choose your visit

Animals and exhibition halls

The Penguin Hall, Polar Bear Hall, Beluga Theatre, underwater tunnel, and Future Jellyfish Hall (未来水母馆) offer different combinations of polar animals, underwater views, and lighting effects. Whether the “魔法海洋科技馆” and other halls are open follows the day’s guide. The performers, interaction style, and times for dolphin, beluga, and other animal shows follow the day’s programme.

Shows and a family pace

Beluga, dolphin, mermaid, and other programmes change with the day’s schedule. Check the timetable after entering, then decide the order of your visit. Popular theatres may require a queue, so families can place breaks between the penguin, polar bear, and jellyfish halls instead of crossing every hall continuously to catch the next show.

Build your day

A 3–4 hour short route

Check the day’s programme after entering. Follow the right-side route or the on-site guide to the Penguin Hall, Polar Village, and other nearby areas, then choose one main theatre according to its session time. Continue to the underwater tunnel and jellyfish hall before leaving. Keep one or two priority shows and decide what to skip according to the remaining time.

A full-day route

Arrive early for the penguins, polar bears, and Beluga Theatre, then follow the underwater tunnel toward the mermaid area or other halls. Rest in a permitted area around midday. In the afternoon, choose from the Polar Circus, dolphin show, or jellyfish hall according to the programme. If a night parade or light-and-shadow activity is offered, place it last. Queues and walking between halls depend on the day’s crowds; confirm the closing time and car-park exit before leaving.

Get there

Light rail and connection

Take the Jinbin Light Rail Line 9 to Tanggu Station, then change to Bus 110 or take a taxi; a taxi may cost around CNY10. Bus waits and road congestion can add time. After leaving the station, navigate to the park’s main entrance and follow the day’s shuttle instructions; other commercial buildings in Xiangluowan are not ticket entrances.

Driving and parking

The park has a dedicated car park, with parking around CNY15 per day. Entry and exit queues may form on holidays, and parking fees and exit management follow on-site arrangements. For an evening session or event, note your parking area and the walking route back to the car park before leaving the venue.

Know before you go

Ride limits and animal etiquette

Theatres and interactive activities may have height, age, health, or seating restrictions; follow the signs at each entrance. Do not knock on glass, chase animals, feed them privately, or request interaction that violates the rules. Cancelled performances, animal condition, equipment maintenance, and weather-related closures are all day-to-day changes, so use the timetable as a route guide after arrival.

Tickets, food, and the return trip

Do not buy from scalpers or non-real-name channels. Before payment, read the platform ticket type, child standard, evening session, and refund or change conditions. Food prices and takeaway rules inside follow the venue’s requirements. Families with young children should plan drinks, rest periods, and the return trip after closing.

Check the timetable first

After entering, check the day’s arrangements for beluga, dolphin, polar performances, and parades, then plan by distance between halls. If a show is cancelled, switch to the animal halls and underwater tunnel.

Rest for children

Families should divide the Penguin Hall, Polar Hall, and Jellyfish Hall into several stops rather than queue continuously. Height and seating standards apply at each attraction entrance; do not infer that a child under one metre can take part in every experience simply because admission is free.
