Fit it into the main summit route
Mushroom Stone is on Fanjingshan's summit route and does not need a separate ticket. After taking the East Gate cableway, walk about 45-50 minutes along boardwalks and steps to reach it.
Tip:It is a stable stop before or after Hongyun Golden Peak, even when the peak queue is long.

Watch the weather before deciding how long to stay
Fog is the main problem at Mushroom Stone. If visibility is poor, wait nearby for a short while; the view can open suddenly.
Tip:Do not wait so long for one photo that you lose time for Hongyun Golden Peak, Old Golden Peak, or the descent.

Pair it with Pudu Square
After Mushroom Stone, continue to Pudu Square, then choose Hongyun Golden Peak or Old Golden Peak based on your reservation and energy.
Tip:Mushroom Stone is not the end of the route. The tougher parts are the peak stairways after it.

Do not climb the mountain only for this stop
Mushroom Stone is very representative, but the stop itself is short. It works best as part of a one-day Fanjingshan route with Hongyun Golden Peak and Old Golden Peak.
Tip:If visibility is very poor, seeing only Mushroom Stone may not feel worth the effort.
