Island entrance, ferry tickets and timing
Jiming Island is reached by a ferry from the Naxianghai Jiming Island Visitor Center. The crossing takes about 15 minutes. The reference round-trip ferry ticket is CNY 128, with opening hours listed as 08:00–18:00; the last boat to the island is around 16:00 and the last boat off the island around 17:10, subject to the day's timetable.
In peak periods, you can buy tickets 1–3 days ahead. Strong wind and other severe weather may suspend the ferry. The island has slopes and boardwalks; the regular walking route takes about 2–3 hours, while a one-way electric shuttle is listed at a reference CNY 40 for older visitors, young children or anyone who does not want to walk the full loop.

Seagrass houses and the island loop
Jiming Island is an island you can land on. The seagrass-house village, wedding church, cliff café, lighthouse, Biandan Rock and the coastal loop boardwalk are its main stops. The village is for seeing the local island settlement, the church and café work well for architecture and sea views, and the lighthouse and Biandan Rock fit naturally into the walking loop.
Jiming Island suits visitors who enjoy a slower walk, photography and island villages. It has a walking route after landing, while Hailu Island is a cruise-only experience, so the two visits work differently.
Build your day
A 1.5-hour short route
After landing, follow the main path to the cliff café, take in the sea view and return to the pier before taking the ferry off the island. If time is tight or you only want one elevated sea-view point, take the electric shuttle one way and walk back to the pier.
A 2–3 hour full route
After landing, begin with the sea view near the pier, then follow this order: seagrass-house village → wedding church → cliff café → lighthouse → Biandan Rock → return to the pier along the island path. Summer slopes and exposed sections can be hot, so avoid the middle of the day where possible and return to the pier before the outbound ferry.
Get there
Reaching the Jiming Island Visitor Center
Drivers should navigate to “Naxianghai Jiming Island Visitor Center” or its ticket office; free parking is available nearby. A taxi from central Weihai costs a reference CNY 150. You can also take Intercity Bus Route 4 from Weihai Coach Station and get off at “Naxianghai Jiming Island.”
Park at the visitor center, buy the ferry ticket and board there. The walking route begins at the island pier; Jiming Island cannot be reached on foot directly from Naxianghai beach.
Know before you go
Return ferry and weather
Strong wind can stop the ferry. The last boat to the island is around 16:00 and the last boat off is around 17:10, so visitors arriving in the afternoon should use 17:10 as the return-time anchor. Food quality on the island varies; ask about prices and dishes before choosing a restaurant approached along the road.
Paths and seasonal experience
The loop includes slopes, so a one-way electric shuttle can help families with young children or slower walkers. Seabirds are relatively numerous from May to August and may become less common later in the season; feeding and boat-based experiences follow the arrangements on site.
