Shendiaoshan Wildlife Reserve is in Xiakou Village, Chengshan Town, Rongcheng. Navigate to “Xiakou Shendiaoshan Wildlife World.” The reference adult gate price is CNY 180, with online tickets listed at CNY 145–160; opening hours are listed as 07:30–18:00, with last entry at 16:00.
Cars cannot enter the park and should be left in an external parking area. The park follows a one-way route that descends from the entrance towards the sea and ends at a separate exit. A full visit usually takes 4–5 hours, while the shorter route takes about three hours.

Predators, pandas and the marine zone
The predator-zone glass tunnel, panda house, monkey area and ape house suit visitors who enjoy animal observation. The African zone has giraffes and elephants, while the marine zone is arranged along the coast with seals and sea lions. These areas belong to the reserve's one-way route and should be planned separately from the Chengshantou visit.
Families and animal photographers often stay for several hours, but the park has many steps and the full route is around 15,000–20,000 steps. Older visitors, young children and families with strollers should consider the shorter route; strollers are difficult to use on slopes and steps.

A three-hour easier route
Enter through the predator zone and board the reference CNY 20 sightseeing bus at the “Predator Zone Station” to the panda house, avoiding the more tiring uphill section. Continue on foot through the African and marine zones, then leave through the exit; the magic carpet and slide are separate paid activities.
A 4–5 hour full route
Follow this order: predator zone → monkey and ape areas → panda house → bear area → African zone → marine zone → exit. This covers the main animal areas. The park is one-way, so repeated backtracking is impractical; arrange your route around the sea-lion show time listed inside the park that day.
Get there
Reaching Xiakou and parking
Xiakou is about 1.5 hours from central Weihai. You can take buses such as K002, or travel by taxi or car. Drivers should navigate to “Jiajia Yue Supermarket, Xiakou Branch”; the reference free No. 5 Parking Lot is close to the exit, which makes it convenient after the visit.
Once inside, visitors move on foot or by the park's sightseeing bus; private cars cannot enter the animal park. Tickets and admission use real-name information, and the exact ticket category follows the booking page for the day.
Know before you go
Extra charges and feeding
Feeding, the magic carpet, the slide and the glass walkway generally cost extra, so keep them separate from the admission budget. Do not feed animals with your own food; if you want to use a park feeding activity, follow the arrangements at the relevant station.
Timing, weather and safety
Last entry is at 16:00, so arrive near opening time if you want to complete the full route. The coastal areas have little shade; bring a hat, water and sun protection in summer. Sea-lion show times change according to the park's daily schedule, and lighters, alcohol sprays and other flammable items cannot pass security.
