Location, entrance and tickets
Lingfeng Scenic Area is in Yandang Town, Yueqing, Wenzhou. The usual entrance is the main gate of Lingfeng Scenic Area, about a 5–10 minute walk from the accommodation area in Xianglingtou Village. Day and night visits are sold separately, and a daytime ticket is not valid for night entry.
The daytime ticket costs about CNY 45 and the night ticket about CNY 45. The full-area three-day ticket is listed at about CNY 170–200 and may include Lingfeng day and night visits, Lingyan, Dalongqiu and Fangdong. Lingfeng does not require advance booking; tickets can be bought on site or online.
Opening hours and suggested time
The daytime hours are usually about 06:30–17:30 and may extend to 18:00 in summer. Night visits usually run from about 18:30 to 21:30, with last entry around 20:30; the exact hours change by season. Allow about two hours for a daytime short route, 3–4 hours for a fuller daytime visit and another 1.5 hours for the night route.

Daytime: peaks, caves and a temple
The three Guohe sights, Guohe Bridge, Ningbi Pool, Shuangsun Peak, Hezhang Peak and Guanyin Cave form the main daytime highlights. Guanyin Cave is set in a cleft about 113 metres up the mountain, with several levels of buildings built into the rock. Judge your comfort with height and steps before climbing further.
Dongyao and Xiyao Terraces offer valley views. Beidou Cave, Lingfeng Ancient Cave and Zhenji Temple suit visitors willing to walk farther. The round trip to Zhenji Temple is about 3 kilometres, so it is better treated as a quiet cultural and rest stop than added in a hurry.
Night views: time to recognise the rock silhouettes
The night route uses lighting and changing viewpoints to reveal silhouettes such as Couple Peaks, Eagle Folding Its Wings, Mother-in-Law Peak, Rhinoceros Gazing at the Moon, the Sleeping Beauty and the Lovesick Woman. The light and the exact viewing effect depend on the day’s arrangement.
The night route is generally gentle and works for an evening walk, but it is not simply an extension of the daytime visit. Put the daytime hours toward buildings, steps and valley details.
Suitable visitors
Lingfeng suits families, visitors interested in historic buildings and landscape photography, and anyone who wants a half-day scenic area with a temple stop. With older adults or children, focus on Guohe Bridge, Hezhang Peak and the Dongyao and Xiyao Terraces, then decide whether to add Guanyin Cave or Zhenji Temple according to the group’s energy.
Build your day
A two-hour daytime short route
Enter through the main gate, see the three Guohe sights, then continue to Shuangsun Peak, Hezhang Peak and Guanyin Cave. You can view the cave from below or climb to the middle level before returning. This route focuses on the rock formations and pool and suits visitors who have another Yandang attraction later in the day.
The short route does not include the farther areas around Zhenji Temple. Leave through the same entrance when finished. If a path is crowded, keep moving along the main route rather than stopping in a narrow passage for photographs.
A 3–4 hour complete daytime route
Start at the main gate and walk through Guohe Bridge, the Dongyao and Xiyao Terraces, Guanyin Cave, Beidou Cave and Lingfeng Ancient Cave, then continue to Zhenji Temple before returning to the exit. Guanyin Cave has about 377 steps, and the round trip to Zhenji Temple is about 3 kilometres, so allow at least an extra hour for walking.
If people in your group have different levels of stamina, split the route. Some can rest near Guanyin Cave or Beidou Cave while others continue to Zhenji Temple, then meet again on the main route. Do not compress every stop just to complete the full list.
A 1.5-hour night route
For the night visit, follow the open route from the entrance through Couple Peaks, Eagle Folding Its Wings, Mother-in-Law Peak, Rhinoceros Gazing at the Moon, the Shepherd Boy Looking Back, the Sleeping Beauty and the Lovesick Woman before leaving. The order and lighting may change, so follow the route open that evening.
Interpretation is optional. Ask at the entrance about the evening arrangement if you want help identifying the rock forms. Visitors who prefer a quiet walk can follow the open path independently, but should not leave it in dark areas.
Get there
High-speed rail, buses and shuttles
After arriving at Yandangshan Station, take the free scenic bus or the local resident line to Lingfeng. The resident bus costs about CNY 2 per person. The stopping range differs between the local bus and the scenic shuttle, so confirm whether it reaches the main gate directly.
Driving and parking
Drive to the First Car Park at Lingfeng Scenic Area, which is close to the ticket gate. Parking farther out may require about a 15-minute walk to the entrance. During holidays, traffic controls may require parking at the visitor centre and transferring by bus.
Know before you go
Separate day and night tickets
The daytime and night visits are separate admissions. A daytime ticket does not continue into the night session. If you plan to see both on one day, allow time to buy the second ticket, leave and re-enter.
Night lighting and hours change by season, so do not calculate the evening visit from a fixed lighting time. Confirm the final entry time after arriving, then decide how long to remain on the daytime route.
Steps, mosquitoes and water
The steps toward Guanyin Cave are steep and narrow. Visitors who are afraid of heights, or those travelling with older adults or young children, can stop at a lower viewpoint. The route to Zhenji Temple is longer, and the wooded area can have many mosquitoes in summer, so bring water and repellent.
There are limited supply points inside the scenic area. Visitors with children or those planning the full daytime route should carry drinking water and a small amount of food.
Indoor areas and night safety
Temples and indoor spaces may close earlier than the scenic area as a whole, so visit them during the daytime. At night, stay on the open path and wear shoes with good grip. After rain or during heavy rain, reduce the number of steps and cliffside sections.
