Reaching Taizipo
Taizipo is a palace stop and transfer point inside Wudang Mountains Scenic Area; it has no separate entrance. Start at the Wudangshan Visitor Center and take the scenic shuttle to the “Taizipo” stop. Before boarding, check whether the vehicle is going toward Qiongtai/Golden Summit or toward Nanyan.
Tickets and time needed
Taizipo has no separate admission. Use the main scenic-area ticketing: adult entry is CNY126, the CNY164 pass includes the Golden Summit and Zixiao Palace, and the scenic shuttle is purchased separately at CNY76. Allow about 30 minutes for the main buildings or about 1 hour for the full Fuzhen Temple and Prince's Reading Hall sequence.

The Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall
The Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall follows the slope and is Taizipo's most recognizable red-wall scene. Corners and door openings work well as photo frames, and the curves can lead the eye through a picture. Steps run between sections of the wall, so keep the passage clear for people walking up and down.
One Pillar and Twelve Beams, then Fuzhen Temple
Inside the Five-Cloud Tower, the One Pillar and Twelve Beams is the key architectural detail: one upright pillar supports a combination of twelve horizontal beams. Continue along the main path to Fuzhen Temple's main hall and then to the Prince's Reading Hall; the four main points are close together on one short walking line.
Who it suits
Taizipo suits visitors who want to combine architecture, a transfer, and a short visit at one stop. It also works well for families and for mountain itineraries with older companions. Walking here is lighter than on the Nanyan–Golden Summit ancient trail, but the Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall still involves steps; visitors using wheelchairs or with limited mobility should ask staff about current access.
Build your day
The 30-minute quick route
Enter from the Taizipo drop-off point, walk through the Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall, follow the main path up to see One Pillar and Twelve Beams, and return to the vehicle stop. Allow about 30 minutes. If time is tight, keep the red wall and Five-Cloud Tower as the two priorities, then reconfirm the direction of the next shuttle before leaving.
The one-hour highlights route
After getting off, visit the Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall, One Pillar and Twelve Beams, Fuzhen Temple's main hall, and the Prince's Reading Hall in that order. Return to Taizipo station by the same route and allow about 1 hour. If you are continuing to Zixiao Palace, Nanyan, or Qiongtai, use Taizipo as the transfer stop and choose the next section from the station signs and day's vehicle schedule.
Transfers and the return
Taizipo's main value is connecting the mountain's different directions, so allow for the next shuttle and any reservation slot. Vehicles toward Nanyan and Qiongtai do not share one fixed last-departure time; check the station sign before leaving and follow the day's dispatch arrangements.
Get there
From the foot of the mountain to the visitor center
From Wudangshan West Railway Station, take Route 301 or a taxi to the Wudangshan Visitor Center, then transfer to the scenic shuttle. From Shiyan Wudangshan Airport, take the airport shuttle to the scenic area. There is no metro service in the local area; when driving or arranging a ride, navigate first to “Wudangshan Visitor Center.” Taizipo is an internal scenic-area shuttle stop.
Visitor-center parking and boarding
When driving to the visitor center, park according to the scenic-area signs and on-site traffic flow, then walk to the boarding area. The vehicle direction, whether a transfer is required at Taizipo, and the next stop all follow the day's signs and staff instructions.
Know before you go
Reservations, opening, and tickets
Taizipo itself has no separate reservation, but entry to Wudang Mountains Scenic Area still follows real-name ticketing and the day's reservation arrangements. If you plan to continue to the Golden Summit/Taihe Palace, you still need a separate timed reservation. On ordinary days, the scenic area typically operates around 07:30–17:30, with entry stopping at 17:30. Holiday schedules and temporary controls may differ.
Steps, monkeys, and photography
There are steps between the Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall and the palace buildings. Wear shoes with good grip and walk carefully on wet surfaces after rain. If monkeys are active nearby, keep water and food inside your bag and do not touch or feed them. Stay on open paths when photographing door openings and red walls.
Check before leaving the stop
The last shuttle varies by direction and same-day dispatch. After leaving the Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall, read the Taizipo station sign before deciding whether to go to Zixiao Palace, Nanyan, Qiongtai, or back to the visitor center. If the next section connects to a Golden Summit timed reservation, include the shuttle, queue, and walking time in the reservation window.
