The two products differ in timing, price, and what you do onboard.
The night performance lasts about 108 minutes. Arrive 30–60 minutes before the start for ticket exchange and photos. The daytime option normally runs from 13:00–16:00, with a lower price than the night show; confirm the calendar and fare on the official ticket page.

Ship spaces and story clues
The pier walkway, rickshaws, vintage cars, and old newsstand create a period scene before boarding. The first-floor ballroom and bar are usually among the more active areas for ensemble scenes and interaction. The second-floor cabin corridor connects characters through open monologues, while designated third-floor cabins offer closer character stories.
The fourth-floor upper deck provides river wind, views of the Yangtze and the Second Yangtze River Bridge, and on some shows possibly live music. Floor access, actor positions, and the viewing sequence change with the day’s performance, so do not expect every element to follow a fixed route.
Daytime photography and nighttime interaction
The daytime option is better for photographing dock props, cabin corridors, and architectural details because the light is stronger. The night show is better for the ballroom, character spaces, and river lights. Night scenes are usually dark and flash is prohibited; for portraits, consider the daytime option or an official photography service first.
Interaction depends on the actors and that performance’s arrangement. If a scene invites visitors to dance or interact with the performers, a position near the front and eye contact may create more opportunities to participate. Interaction is not sold separately, and photography or contact with performers must follow the on-site guidance.

Start at the performance-wharf walkway to exchange your ticket and take photos. Follow the on-site guidance into the first-floor ballroom/bar, then through the second-floor cabin corridor and designated third-floor cabins, ending at the fourth-floor upper deck for river views and the Second Yangtze River Bridge. This floor sequence may change on the day.
Arrive 30–60 minutes early so ticket exchange, security checks, and photos are finished before entry. After the night show, walk through Hankou Riverfront Park or follow Yanjiang Avenue to Wuhan Tiandi for a meal. The finish time and return transport depend on the selected show.
Daytime route: about 1.5 hours
Enter from the wharf and explore the hull and public spaces at your own pace. Photograph the walkway, vintage vehicles, and old newsstand, then continue to the cabin corridor, ballroom, and any open deck areas before disembarking. There is no night-show performance in the daytime option; the focus is on the architecture, props, and photography.
The floors available, photography areas, and opening hours during the daytime option follow the on-site arrangement. Its price is lower than the night show but can change. After leaving, you can add Hankou Riverfront Park or Wuhan Tiandi as a separate daytime plan.
Interaction and viewing pace
Zhiyin is not a fixed-seat theatre. The ship’s multiple levels require you to move with the performers or on-site guides. The time spent in the ballroom, corridor, cabins, and deck can differ, so listen to the instructions before deciding whether to follow a particular scene.

Metro and bus
Take Line 1 or Line 7 to Sanyang Road Station, leave through Exit L3, and walk about 15 minutes—or cycle about eight minutes—to Zhiyin Performance Wharf. By bus, get off at the Yanjiang Avenue Sanyang Road stop and walk about five minutes. Follow Hankou Riverfront Park and the vintage sign toward the entrance.
Use “Zhiyin Performance Wharf” as the navigation target, then compare the entrance with the ticket. Night-show ticket exchange, photos, and security checks take time, so arrive according to the showtime and include the walk from the metro exit.
Driving and after the show
If driving, check parking around Yuehan Wharf and the Hankou Riverfront Park area, but spaces are limited and should be confirmed in advance, especially on weekends and show days. Public transport is easier to time around a performance; after parking, you still need to walk through the park to the performance wharf.
After disembarking, you can walk in Hankou Riverfront Park or eat at Wuhan Tiandi. During the day, Shanhaiguan Road or Tiansheng Street can fit before the visit. The night-show finish time is affected by the show and on-site management, so check the return transport beforehand.

Clothing, weather, and photography
The ship’s multi-level layout involves frequent walking and stairs, so wear flat, comfortable shoes. The fourth-floor deck can be windy, while indoor air conditioning may feel cool; a light jacket is useful. The night show is dim, and flash must be turned off according to the on-site rules.
Strong wind, heavy rain, dense fog, or high water levels during flood periods may suspend service, adjust sailing, or change the performance format. The ship may actually sail on the river during the experience, but weather and water conditions take priority over any fixed sailing promise. Check the notice for your date before leaving.
Tickets and expectations
Buy night-show tickets through official channels in advance. Confirm the fare, student discount, 19:30/21:00 show options, and whether the Monday suspension still applies on the date calendar. Actor interaction, floor access, upper-deck opening, and live music are not identical every time; on-site arrangements take priority.

Zhiyin is inside Hankou Riverfront Park, so the park and Wuhan Tiandi can fit before or after the performance. During the day, Shanhaiguan Road or Tiansheng Street are additional options. For food, use the nearby light-meal area or choose a restaurant in Wuhan Tiandi or along the riverfront based on what is open that day.
If weather suspends the show, Hankou Riverfront Park, Jianghan Road, and Wuhan Tiandi can become land-based alternatives. Handle ticket changes, refunds, and date changes through the original booking channel, and leave the wharf along the lit routes after a night show.
