Location and ticket relationship
Lingshan Brahma Palace is at No. 1 Lingshan Road, Mashan Town, Binhu District, Wuxi, on the northeast side of Lingshan Scenic Area. It is an indoor art building within Lingshan Scenic Area. The Brahma Palace is included in the Lingshan Scenic Area admission ticket; there is no separate “Brahma Palace ticket.” Walk or take the sightseeing vehicle from the Lingshan Grand Buddha area.
Opening hours and time needed
The outdoor areas of the scenic area usually open earlier, but indoor venues such as the Brahma Palace open at about 09:00. The palace itself generally operates from 09:00 to 17:30. A quick visit takes about one hour; allow 1.5–2 hours to see Huazang World, the Ground-Emerging Pagoda, the second-floor corridor and exhibitions. It works well after Lingshan Grand Buddha.

Huazang World, the Ground-Emerging Pagoda and the halls
The main highlights are the Huazang World glazed mural, the dynamic Ground-Emerging Pagoda display in the tower hall, flying apsara wood carvings, the dome and the white-marble corridor. First take in the overall space on the first floor, then use the second-floor corridor to study the mural and hall details. The light is dim, so allow time for the vertical space and low-angle views instead of simply passing through.
Who this visit suits
The full indoor route suits visitors interested in architecture, art and Buddhist culture. In summer, the Brahma Palace is also a useful place to pause away from the strong sun. Families can make use of the air conditioning and relatively level route, but exhibition halls and dynamic displays may be subject to crowd limits on busy dates. If you are interested in a temporary exhibition, confirm whether it is open that day and whether an onsite QR-code reservation is required.
Build your day
A quick route for about 1 hour
Enter through the main entrance and follow the main hall to see the dome, flying apsara wood carvings and Huazang World glazed mural. Continue to the tower hall for the Ground-Emerging Pagoda, then leave through the side exit. This covers the architectural space and main displays, and works well for visitors who have already spent a long time at Lingshan Grand Buddha and still plan to visit the Five Seals Altar City or the exit.
A complete route for about 1.5–2 hours
In addition to the quick route, add the temporary exhibition in the west tower hall, the second-floor corridor and the treasure hall. Look down over the halls from above before returning to the exit. The Brahma Palace is deeper inside Lingshan Scenic Area, so allow time to walk there from the Buddha area. If you need to reduce walking, you can buy a sightseeing vehicle ticket for about CNY 40 per person; confirm the ticket type and price for the day.
Get there
From within Lingshan Scenic Area
After visiting Lingshan Grand Buddha, walk along the main road to the Brahma Palace or take the sightseeing vehicle. The Brahma Palace is next to the Five Seals Altar City, so the two can be arranged in the same indoor and architectural section of the visit, but follow the onsite signs because their entrances and visitor routes are separate.
Public transport and driving
From Wuxi Railway Station or Wuxi East Railway Station, take Route 88 or 89 to the “Lingshan Scenic Area” stop. The fare is about CNY 2 and the ride takes about 1–1.5 hours. There is currently no direct metro connection; you can travel to Meiyuan Station and then transfer to a bus or taxi. For driving, navigate to the Lingshan Scenic Area parking lot. Parking costs about CNY 15 per day, and areas F3 and F4 are closer to the entrance.
Know before you go
Exhibitions, performances and onsite arrangements
Some temporary exhibitions may require scanning a QR code after entry to make a reservation. The Yungang Grottoes exhibition is planned to run until October 8, 2026, but it is a time-limited display, so confirm that it is still open near your travel date. The original “Auspicious Ode” performance has been suspended for a long period, and other display or performance times may change by date; check the day’s program after entering.
Light, clothing and food
The interior of the Brahma Palace is dim. Use your phone’s night mode or a wide-angle lens for the dome and halls, and visit near opening or closing time to avoid some of the crowds. The air conditioning can feel strong, so bring a light jacket even in summer and choose clothing suited to a religious setting. Wuguantang has a vegetarian buffet for about CNY 60 per person and vegetarian noodles for about CNY 39 per bowl; the vegetarian restaurant near the exit and dining options outside the scenic area offer more choices.
