The two areas and ticket choices
Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Theme Park consists of two connected areas within the Wuxi film base. The main entrance is at No. 128 Shanshui West Road in Binhu District; Han-Song Gate connects the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin areas and takes about 5–10 minutes to walk through. The adult two-area ticket is about CNY 150; separate tickets are about CNY 90 for Three Kingdoms and CNY 85 for Water Margin. Students and visitors aged 60–69 receive half-price admission with valid documents; children under 1.4 metres and people aged 70 and over are free.
Opening hours and time needed
Regular hours are approximately 08:30–17:00, with last entry at 16:30. Peak periods and holidays may extend the hours and add seasonal night sessions. Buy one day ahead through the park mini program or a travel platform and enter by scanning your ID. The two main shows take about 4–5 hours; walking through most of both areas can approach 20,000 steps, so a full day and the sightseeing bus are worth considering.

The Three Kingdoms and Water Margin areas
In Three Kingdoms, focus on Wu King Palace, Ganlu Temple, Cao's Camp Water Fortress and the old warships beside Taihu Lake. In Water Margin, the main stops are Song Imperial Palace, Zishi Street and Fan Tower. The two areas also offer live horse performances, stunt shows, interactive scenes and some separately paid immersive shows; choose between architecture, filming locations and the program schedule rather than trying to treat them as one single attraction.
Who it suits
Visitors who enjoy filming locations, historic-style buildings and live performances will usually benefit from the two-area ticket. Photographers can plan the 77 steps in front of Wu King Palace, the red walls of Song Imperial Palace, Chibi Plank Walk and the old warships on Taihu Lake. Families can use the sightseeing bus to reduce walking; if you are considering interactive games, photography or extra shows, ask about the rules, price and any required purchase before joining.
Build your day
A 4–5-hour show-first route
Check the day's program sheet at the entrance first. Then visit the Three Kingdoms horse arena, Wu King Palace and Cao's Camp Water Fortress, cross through Han-Song Gate to Water Margin, and continue to Zishi Street, Cuiyun Tower and Song Imperial Palace before leaving from the Water Margin exit. The performances Three Heroes Fight Lu Bu and The Fight Against Ximen Qing require arriving early for a place; use the day's program sheet for the actual session times.
A full-day route
In the morning, start at Handing Square and Peach Garden, then continue through the horse arena, Cao's Water and Dry Fortresses, Seven-Star Altar, Wu King Palace and Ganlu Temple. In the afternoon, cross Han-Song Gate and visit Taiwei Mansion, Zishi Street, Fan Tower, Song Imperial Palace, Yanggu County Office and Qingming Riverside Street. If a seasonal night program such as Han-Song Wonderful Night is running, Water Margin can become the evening focus after 18:30, but the iron-flower performance, light show and other activities must be checked for that day.
Get there
Public transport
Bus 82 runs from the city to Three Kingdoms Station. You can also take Metro Line 1 to Changguangxi Station or Line 4 to Xiabanqiao Station, then transfer to Bus 82. The two areas are linked by Han-Song Gate, and both walking time and the sightseeing bus need to be included in the schedule.
Driving and park transport
Navigate to Wuxi Three Kingdoms or the Three Kingdoms parking lot. The official lot costs about CNY 10–20 per day; arriving before 08:30 makes parking and entry easier. The in-park sightseeing bus costs about CNY 30–50 per person and can be used multiple times that day, which helps with a full visit or for companions who cannot walk long distances.
Know before you go
Program sheet and spending
Performances may change with weather and the day's arrangements. Photograph the program sheet at the entrance or use the park mini program for live schedules and navigation. Food inside and around the park is relatively expensive, so carry water and a small snack; park restrooms provide hot water. Very cheap second-hand group tickets may require meeting a guide and waiting, which is unsuitable for an independent visit.
Parking, games and walking
Use the official parking lot rather than searching for a private space near the entrance. The full route involves substantial walking, and areas such as the Eight Trigrams Maze can be easy to circle around. Confirm the rules and price before joining interactive games; extra shows, night activities and photography services are not fixed benefits of the two-area ticket.
