Location and entrance
China Han City is on Donghuan Road in Nancheng, Zaoyang. The East Gate has the visitor centre and the main parking area. Driving from central Xiangyang takes about 1 hour; a taxi from Zaoyang Railway Station usually takes about 20–30 minutes.
Tickets and opening hours
The ticket price is roughly CNY 65–80, and normal opening hours are about 08:30–17:30. The theatre, animal park, and film base may not all be included in every ticket type, so check the ticket details and on-site instructions before entering.
What the visit is about
This is a Han-themed film and television attraction rather than a surviving Han-dynasty archaeological site. The main experiences include the same-day performance programme, Hansong Theatre (汉颂剧院), horse shows at Guangwu Jiaochang (光武校场), performances at Zhuque Gate (朱雀门), Zhang Yimou Film Base, and Deyang Hall.

Hansong Theatre and same-day programme
Hansong Theatre is one of the main reasons to visit. The performance *Xunmeng Dahan · Hansong (《寻梦大汉·汉颂》)* and other programme items may change, so check the day's schedule after entering and arrive before the stated start time.
Horse shows and architectural sets
Horse shows at Guangwu Jiaochang and performances at Zhuque Gate give the visit its staged historical atmosphere. Between shows, use the time to explore Zhang Yimou Film Base, Deyang Hall, and the surrounding sets rather than trying to follow a fixed timetable.
A themed film park, not an ancient city
The large-scale buildings and streets are designed for film and television production and visitor experiences. They recreate a Han-themed setting, but should not be treated as intact Han-period remains when planning the visit.

Build your day
A 5–6-hour programme-led route
Allow about 5–6 hours for a full visit. After entering, read the programme board first, choose the performances you want to see, and arrive at each venue early. Arrange the film base and architectural areas around the gaps between performances.
How to handle changing show times
If you miss one performance, adjust the rest of the route using the day's programme instead of pre-planning the whole day around fixed times. The performance schedule and which attractions are included in your ticket should both be confirmed on the day.
Food and breaks
Dining choices inside and around the attraction may be limited. Bring water and some food, then use the performance gaps for a break. If a show or an additional area has a separate charge, check before joining rather than assuming it is covered by the basic ticket.
Get there
Driving from Xiangyang
Driving via the Fuyin Expressway is the most direct option from Xiangyang. Navigate to the East Gate or the China Han City visitor centre, then follow the signs to the parking area. The main parking area is generally free and has ample spaces, but follow the day's on-site instructions.
Train and taxi from Zaoyang
Take a high-speed train to Zaoyang Railway Station, then continue by taxi for about 20–30 minutes. Because the attraction is spread out and public transport around the site is limited, arrange the return trip before the programme ends.
