Entrance on Yanjiang Avenue
Mi Fu Memorial Temple is at No. 2 Yanjiang Avenue in Fancheng District, with its gateway arch right beside the Han River. The site is compact. Its main stops are the inscription corridor, Baojin Zhai (宝晋斋), and the central historic buildings, so visitors with a strong interest in calligraphy usually get more from it than visitors looking for a large architectural complex.
Ticket and opening hours
The adult ticket is about CNY 25; some local tourist passes may apply. No advance reservation is required, and tickets can be bought on site or online. Opening hours are 08:00–18:00. Allow about 30 minutes for a short route or 1–1.5 hours for the inscription corridor and both gardens.

Inscription corridor and Baojin Zhai
The inscription corridor is about 200 metres long and contains 138 historical inscriptions, making it the area that deserves the most time. Baojin Zhai displays high-resolution reproductions of works such as Tiaoxi Shi Tie (《苕溪诗帖》) and Shu Su Tie (《蜀素帖》). The focus is on the calligraphy and its presentation, not on original masterpieces.
Bai Dian (拜殿), Yanggao Tang (仰高堂), and the gardens
Bai Dian has a “Mi Fu Memorial Temple” plaque and a horizontal inscription reading “Dian Bu Ke Ji.” Yanggao Tang gives a slightly higher view over the grounds. The East and West Gardens add pavilions, bridges, and ponds to the inscription visit, while the old ginkgo trees are a seasonal highlight in autumn.
Calligraphy and traditional-style photography
Mi Fu Memorial Temple suits calligraphy enthusiasts, visitors interested in inscriptions, traditional architecture, and anyone looking for a quiet courtyard for photos. In November, the turning ginkgo leaves and garden water are especially photogenic; in other seasons, focus on the inscription corridor and central buildings.

About 30 minutes: central-axis route
Enter through the main gate, see Bai Dian, Mi Fu's statue, and the “Dian Bu Ke Ji” inscription, then visit Baojin Zhai for the calligraphy reproductions. Continue to Yanggao Tang and leave from the rear. This short route keeps the central buildings and main calligraphy displays in a compact Han River stop.
1–1.5 hours: inscription-corridor route
After entering, pass Jie Ting (洁亭) and Bai Dian, then follow the inscription corridor to read the historical carvings. Continue to Baojin Zhai and Yanggao Tang, and finish in the East and West Gardens. The corridor and Baojin Zhai are the main stops; adjust the garden section according to the season and your photography plans, then return toward the main entrance according to the on-site route.
Connect it with a Han River outing
Mi Fu Memorial Temple is close to Longzikou Wharf, so you can visit the temple and take the Han River cruise on the same day. They sell tickets separately and operate on separate schedules, with no combined ticket or fixed transfer. If you are taking the cruise, check its departure first and then choose the temple's short or complete route.

Bus and navigation
Take bus routes 4, 6, 14, or 16 to Mi Fu Memorial Temple Station. A taxi or car can use “Mi Fu Memorial Temple Parking Lot” as the destination; the gateway arch is on the Yanjiang Avenue side, so enter through the main gate.
Parking and onward travel
The temple has parking. Confirm the parking position before walking into the grounds. If you are continuing to Longzikou Wharf or crossing the river toward the old city, leave the car somewhere that works for a walkable transfer rather than treating every riverside stop as the same parking entrance.

The focus here is inscriptions, calligraphy, and central historic buildings; it is not a large museum. Visitors less interested in calligraphy can take the 30-minute route, prioritise the corridor and Baojin Zhai, and leave time for other Han River stops.
Photography and season
The inscription corridor works well for continuous wall and stele photographs, while the East and West Gardens suit pavilion and water views. November is a good time to look for the old ginkgo trees. Keep the passages clear and follow the on-site rules for viewing inscriptions and displays.
Food nearby
Beef-noodle shops and local noodle restaurants are available nearby. Eat after the visit, or collect your cruise ticket at the wharf first if you are continuing straight to the boat. Count the walking and transfer time between Longzikou Wharf, the temple, and the ancient city separately.
