Choose your visit
Jinshui Cave and the underground river
Visitors can take a boat through the underground river in Jinshui Cave. The cave stays at about 18°C, and colored lights illuminate the stalactites. The Starry Tunnel has in-cave lighting and is suitable for close-up photos of the rock walls.
Thousand steps, caves, and summit views
Hikers can climb the Thousand-Step Sky Ladder, cross Buyun Bridge, the Natural Arch Bridge, and the Tianti Sky Walk, then continue to the Longevity Peak viewpoint for views of the mountains and Chuankou Lake. More than 30 natural caves are found partway up the mountain, including Paihuai Cave (徘徊洞) and Foye Cave. The cliffside sky walk, glass walkway, and iron-chain bridge are high above the valley and have a pronounced exposed feeling.
Choose a route to suit your stamina
Visitors with children or those wanting fewer steps can take the short route using the boat, magic-carpet conveyor, and slide. The full hiking route climbs more than a thousand steps in succession and suits visitors with good stamina who are comfortable with heights. Visitors afraid of heights can skip the glass walkway and iron-chain bridge. Choose the walking and transport combination before setting out.
Build your day
The 2.5–3-hour transport-assisted route
At the entrance, first take the boat through Jinshui Cave, then ride the magic-carpet conveyor uphill, walk across the glass walkway, and take the slide back down. These rides reduce the amount of climbing, and the route returns to the scenic area exit. Check whether all of them are included in your full-pass ticket.
The roughly 4-hour hiking route
Start with Jinshui Cave, then climb the Thousand-Step Sky Ladder. Continue across Buyun Bridge, the Natural Arch Bridge, and the Tianti Sky Walk to the Longevity Peak viewpoint, then walk back down. The route has steep steps, elevated walkways, and bridges. Visitors with limited stamina or a fear of heights may prefer the short route.
Photo stops inside and outside the cave
Jinshui Cave and the illuminated tunnel are good places for photos of stalactites, lights, and cave walls. The glass walkway frames the surrounding mountains, while the summit viewpoint looks out over the mountains and Chuankou Lake.

Know before you go
Steps, heights, and slide safety
The Thousand-Step Sky Ladder has steep stone steps; wear shoes with good grip on the long route. Watch your footing on the steps and bridges. Follow staff instructions when taking the slide, including guidance on speed and foot position, to avoid pinching or injury. Visitors afraid of heights can skip the glass walkway and iron-chain bridge.
Temperature, queues, and supplies
Bring a light jacket for Jinshui Cave. There may be many mosquitoes on the summer mountain paths, so bring insect repellent. On public holidays, queues may form at ticket checks and rides, increasing the total visit time.
There are simple refreshments at the summit and along the route, usually at higher prices than below the mountain. For a full meal, consider a restaurant at the foot of the mountain or a farm restaurant along the way.
