Plan at a glance

Check the performance date before planning your evening

Colorful Arirang is an original song-and-dance production by the Yanbian Song and Dance Troupe at the Grand Theatre of Yanbian Workers’ Cultural Palace; it is not a daily attraction. The troupe’s 2026 regular schedule lists performances at 19:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, with extra shows possible on holidays or according to on-site conditions. Schedules can change, so confirm that a performance is on for your date before buying a ticket. The show lasts about 60 minutes and works as an evening event.

Dance, music and scenes from Yanbian

The 2026 programme uses green, pink, white, blue and red to connect themes of Yanbian’s landscape and folk culture. Its published overview lists seven chapters and ten performances, including the water-balancing dance, pansori and mask dance, long-drum dance, gayageum-and-vocal performances, fan dance and a final elephant-hat dance. It is a good fit if you enjoy staged dance, vocals and traditional instruments; plan a separate time for sightseeing or a museum visit.

Tickets and visit details

Choose your visit

Choose the performances you want to see

For dance, look out for the water-balancing dance, long-drum dance and hat dance. For vocals and instruments, look for pansori, gayageum and traditional music ensembles. The programme overview also mentions mask dance, fan dance and modern dance. The production may be revised, so the performance on the day may differ from earlier versions.

Does the show fit your itinerary?

The performance lasts about an hour, so you can keep daytime sightseeing separate from the evening show. If someone in your group is not used to watching a stage production for an hour, read the current programme first. If you are bringing children, check the age and height requirements for that performance before buying tickets.

Ticket prices and seating

For your date, check the ticket categories, seating plan, seat-selection method and entry pass before purchase. A “from CNY 58” price appeared in a 2026 premiere report and applied to those performances only; it does not confirm current prices or the view from any seat. Choose and pay for seats through the ticket listing for your date.

Build your day

Sightsee during the day, see the show at night

You can visit daytime attractions such as Yanbian Museum before heading to the Workers’ Cultural Palace for the evening show. Plan around the museum’s closing and last-admission times, check the drive between the two venues on a live map, and allow time for ticket checks.

Getting to the theatre on show night

First confirm the performance date, start time and ticket-check requirements on the ticket page, then arrive by the time shown on your ticket. At Yanbian Workers’ Cultural Palace, follow the signs to the Grand Theatre entrance and your seating area. If the ticket page does not explain seat selection or voucher exchange, ask the ticket seller before showtime rather than leaving an order issue until the last minute.

After the show

The 2026 production lasts about 60 minutes, so a 19:00 start suggests an end time around 20:00; applause and the time needed to leave may make it later. Before going to your hotel, station or dinner, check the last bus and taxi availability. If public transport does not fit, arrange a vehicle ahead of time or choose a different dinner location.

Get there

Address and venue

Yanbian Workers’ Cultural Palace (延边工人文化宫) is at 9171 Yanhe West Road, near Yanchuan North Street in Yanji; the show is in the Grand Theatre. The venue describes its new site as north of Tianchi Bridge, near Yanji West Railway Station and Yanji Sports Stadium. Search for “延边工人文化宫” or enter the full venue name and address in your map app, then follow the day’s signs to the Grand Theatre.

From the station or city centre

The venue is near Yanji West Railway Station; check the station exit, walking route and travel time on a map for your visit. From central Yanji, choose a live bus route or taxi based on your starting point. Check the return service after the performance; a stop with the same “Workers’ Cultural Palace” name in another city may refer to a different venue.

Parking

The venue has ground-level, underground and temporary parking areas. Which areas are open to audience members, fees and space availability depend on the event. If driving, ask the ticket seller or venue about the parking entrance before you set out, then follow traffic staff on arrival.

Know before you go

Ticket details vary by performance

The Yanbian Song and Dance Troupe’s 2026 notices direct audiences to its official WeChat account, “延边歌舞团,” and partner ticket platforms. First confirm that a performance is scheduled for your date, then check the ticket price, refund rules, ID requirements, seating and entry-check time. An old ticket category or a listing for another date does not replace the current rules.

Audience rules and services

Before buying, check the show’s rules for children, foreign-passport verification, photography and video, wheelchair seating and luggage storage. If you need wheelchair access or English-language assistance, ask the ticket platform or venue in advance.

The production may change

The production may be revised, so later performances can differ in their chapters, programme numbers or staging. Audience interaction—such as performers entering the seats or inviting guests on stage for a photo—has been reported for some performances and is not guaranteed. Follow the stage and host’s instructions; check the show’s notice for mobile-phone photography rules.
