How to Visit
1

Go from surface scenery to underground scenery

The classic route is to see Shihai Yonglang, Yixiantian, Couple Peak, and the Great Sinkhole first, then enter Tianquan Cave. This keeps the route clearer and helps manage energy.

Tip:There are slopes, steps, and damp cave sections. Shoes with good grip matter more than photo outfits.
2

Check the ticket package before buying

The basic entrance ticket, sightseeing bus, boat, return shuttle, and performances may be sold separately or bundled. If you only want the natural scenery, you may not need the most expensive package.

Tip:A common adult entrance ticket is around CNY 80. A package with the sightseeing bus, boat, and return shuttle is around CNY 120. Use the live booking page for the final price.
3

Save energy for Tianquan Cave

Tianquan Cave is a major part of Xingwen Stone Sea. It is cooler inside, with damp steps and an underground boat section. Do not use up all your energy in the first half.

Tip:Bring a light layer, even in summer.
4

Plan the return trip

Xingwen Railway Station is still some distance from the scenic area. Self-driving is the most flexible option; for public transport, check scenic shuttle and return times in advance.

Tip:During holidays, the return queue can affect your train timing more than the entry queue.
Highlights
  • Surface stone sea, sinkhole, and cave landscapes sit inside one scenic area, giving it more variety than a simple cave visit.
  • The Great Sinkhole is best seen slowly from the walkway, but it also uses more energy.
  • Tianquan Cave's underground river and stalactites are the key part of the second half, so do not stop only near the entrance area.
  • Bo people cultural elements add local history to the geological scenery.
  • Night performances and dining shows are optional add-ons for interested visitors, not required for the natural scenery route.
Insider Tips

Allow 4-6 hours. A rushed visit will make both the sinkhole and cave feel too shallow.

In rainy or humid weather, cave paths and walkways can be slippery, so older travelers and children should slow down.

A reverse route can avoid some crowds, but it involves more uphill walking and is not ideal for average fitness levels.

If you need to catch a train the same day, confirm the transport back to Xingwen Railway Station first.

Performance schedules change with season and operations, so do not rely only on old guide notes if you want a night show.
