Zhengzhou Yellow River Cultural Park is at No. 1 Jiangshan Road on the south bank of the Yellow River in Huiji District, Zhengzhou. Enter through the South Gate. The adult ticket is listed at CNY 48; students pay half price, and visitors aged 60 and over enter free. A travel-app price of around CNY 45 when booked one day ahead is a promotion rather than the standard ticket price. Opening hours are around 07:00–20:00.
How much time to allow
The park is large. Allow three to four hours for the main route and add the CNY 20 sightseeing-bus ticket; a riverbank-and-sunset visit can take about one to two hours after entering in the afternoon. The Yellow River cable car is listed at around CNY 50 and is optional, so it does not affect the main riverbank route.

The Yan and Yellow Emperor colossal statues
The Yan and Yellow Emperor colossal statues are the park's main landmark. From the hilltop, you can look over Yanhuang Square and out toward the Yellow River. Visitors willing to walk uphill can place the statues and square in the first part of the visit, then add the Yellow River Geology Museum if travelling with children.
The geology museum and riverbank
The Yellow River Geology Museum uses models, sound, lighting and geological exhibits to explain changes in the river, making it suitable for families. The riverside square gives you a closer view of the Yellow River, while Sanqiao Hui is a useful place for river scenery and the afternoon sunset.
The western boundary marker
The Yellow River Middle-and-Lower-Reaches Boundary Marker is about 3 km west of the park. It is a more advanced outlying stop with a wider view than the riverbank inside the park. It is not a short walking node within the park, so arrange a separate vehicle or shuttle if you want to visit it.
Build your day
3–4 hours: sightseeing-bus highlights route
Enter through the South Gate and take the sightseeing bus, visiting Yanhuang Square, the Yellow River Geology Museum, the riverside square and Sanqiao Hui in that order. At the end, decide whether to take the Yellow River cable car based on the weather, time and budget. The bus reduces long walks inside the park.
1–2 hours: sunset route
Enter after 16:00, take the sightseeing bus directly to the riverside square or Sanqiao Hui, then follow the riverbank for photos and the sunset. Sunset time and weather change, so return to the South Gate within the park's opening hours after the riverbank stop.
Advanced route to the boundary marker
If you want to see the Yellow River Middle-and-Lower-Reaches Boundary Marker, plan it separately as a stop about 3 km west of the park. The internal walking route does not reach it. After completing the park's main route, continue according to the day's road and vehicle arrangements, and confirm the return transport to the city in advance.
Get there
Intercity railway
From Zhengzhou Railway Station or Zhengzhou East Railway Station, take the Zhengjiao intercity railway to Yellow River Scenic Area Station. The journey is listed at around 13–20 minutes, and a shuttle runs from the station toward the park entrance. Train times and shuttle operation follow the day's arrangements.
Bus and driving
Tour Bus 16 runs from the railway-station area, while Bus 18 runs from the North Third Ring Road area. Both are listed options, with a reference fare of CNY 2. If driving, navigate to the South Gate of Zhengzhou Yellow River Cultural Park; parking is listed at around CNY 10 per visit. In the busy season, arriving before 09:00 can help avoid the main entry traffic.
Know before you go
Distances and supplies
The stops are spread out, making the sightseeing bus important for the main route. There is little shade, so in summer bring drinking water, sun protection and shoes suitable for longer walks.
Tickets and add-on activities
The adult ticket, travel-app promotion, sightseeing bus and Yellow River cable car are charged separately. The cable car is not required for the riverbank route; decide according to the weather, queue and your comfort with the ride.
Return transport and temporary sales approaches
The Zhengjiao intercity shuttle, last buses and park vehicles can vary by day, so confirm your return route before leaving the riverbank. If a driver or stranger recommends an expensive activity, verify its name and price first before deciding whether to buy it.
