Zhongyuan Tower is at No. 1206 Hanghai East Road in Guancheng Hui District, Zhengzhou. Enter through the South Gate. The standard observation ticket is listed at CNY 98 and includes the observation areas on floors 97 and 99 plus the panoramic painting gallery on the fourth floor. A high-altitude activity package is listed at around CNY 188; online CNY 68 promotions and free-entry rules depend on the current offer. In summer, hours are around 09:30–22:00, with ticket checks ending at 21:30; the tower lights usually begin at around 19:00.
How much time to allow
Allow two to three hours for a full visit, or about one hour for the upper observation area and the fourth-floor panoramic painting. The observation decks, panoramic painting, high-altitude activities and 98th-floor restaurant serve different purposes. Decide whether you want city views or the high-altitude activities before choosing a ticket.

Indoor views and the panoramic painting
The 97th floor is an indoor observation area for visitors who want a city panorama without taking part in a high-altitude activity. The fourth-floor Splendid Central Plains panoramic painting uses a circular scene with sound, light and electronic effects to present Henan attractions; a full viewing takes about 17 minutes. The 98th-floor revolving restaurant is a separate dining option, and food charges are not included in the observation ticket.
High-altitude activities
Cloud Walk, the glass slide and the high-altitude swing/mechanical arm on the 99th floor are paid add-ons; the standard observation ticket does not automatically include them. Visitors who are afraid of heights or travelling with young children can limit the visit to the indoor 97th-floor observation area and the fourth-floor panoramic painting.
Who it suits
Photographers can combine sunset, blue hour and night views in one visit. Younger visitors who want the high-altitude activities should allow extra time for queues. Families can first see how children respond to the height and glass-floor environment before deciding whether to add an activity.

Arrive around 17:00
If you want daylight views, sunset and the night skyline in one visit, arrive at around 17:00. A practical order is the second-floor entrance, the 99th-floor high-altitude activity level, the 97th-floor indoor observation area, the fourth-floor panoramic painting gallery and finally the cultural garden on the first and second floors. Lift access and activity availability depend on the day.
One-hour route for views only
If you are skipping the high-altitude activities, start with the indoor observation area on the 97th floor, then see the panoramic painting on the fourth floor. Depending on the time, you can check any areas of the 99th floor that are open. This route fits into a short city-landmark visit of about one hour.
Night activity timing
The tower lights usually start at around 19:00, and the high-altitude activities close at around 21:30 or later. There may be a wait between sunset and the lighting, so complete any high-altitude activity in the first half of your visit.
Get there
Metro Line 5
Take Metro Line 5 to Zhongyuan Tower Station (中原福塔站), leave through Exit C and walk about five minutes to the South Gate. Metro is the most direct way to reach the tower and avoids surface traffic on Hanghai East Road.
Driving
If driving, navigate to the Zhongyuan Tower parking area. Parking is listed at CNY 5 per visit. After arriving, follow the signs to the South Gate and then enter according to your ticket type.
Know before you go
Separate the ticket types
The CNY 98 standard observation ticket and the high-altitude package listed at around CNY 188 cover different areas. Online promotional prices should not be treated as fixed prices. Free standard-entry rules for visitors aged 60 and over and children under 1.4 metres must be handled according to the current WeChat reservation arrangements.
High-altitude activities and weather
High-altitude activities are more sensitive to fear of heights, young children and weather. Starting with the indoor observation area is the safer choice. Wind, rain or operational changes can affect the activities, and the tower-lighting time can also change with the season and on-site arrangements.
Night views and dining
The 98th-floor revolving restaurant combines dining with city views, but food charges are separate from the observation experience. If you only want night photos, the window side of the 97th-floor indoor area and distant viewpoints outside the tower are enough; you do not need a high-altitude activity ticket.
