Zibo Ceramics and Glass Museum is at 417 Liantong Road in Zhangdian District. Use the East Gate, the main entrance. Admission is free, but entry requires real-name reservation through the official “Zibo Ceramics and Glass Museum” mini-program in Alipay. Reservations open seven days ahead at 00:00 each day, so book early for public holidays.
From Tuesday to Sunday, the regular reference hours are 09:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:30. From Friday to Sunday, the museum may extend to 20:30, with last entry at 20:00. It is closed on Mondays except public holidays. Allow 1.5–2 hours for a quick route or 3–4 hours for a full visit.
Choose your floors first
The clearest order is to start on the fourth floor and work down through the third, second and first floors. The fourth floor focuses on lamp-worked glass and modern glass art; the third has Warring States glass beads and related displays; the second covers the celadon lotus zun and state-banquet porcelain; and the first adds the eggshell-black pottery high-stem cup, the gift shop and the exit area.
The museum offers free guided talks, with reference times of 10:00 and 14:30 each day, although the service depends on the day's arrangements. If you want a talk, include the meeting point and the talk time when planning your entry rather than working backward only from closing time.

Lamp-worked glass and historic objects
The fourth-floor lamp-worked glass hall suits visitors interested in craft, glass and indoor photography. The glass flower crowns, lamp-worked pieces and modern glass art are the main stops on that floor. The Warring States glass beads on the third floor, the celadon lotus zun on the second and the eggshell-black pottery high-stem cup on the first represent different periods and help visitors follow the development of ceramics and glass.
If you only want the representative objects, focus on the fourth-floor lamp-worked glass, the third-floor Warring States glass beads and the second-floor celadon lotus zun. Add the first floor and the other halls if time allows.
Who it suits
Visitors interested in ceramics, glass, archaeology and design can usually spend 2–3 hours here. Families can visit one floor at a time, starting with the fourth-floor lamp-worked glass, third-floor Warring States glass beads and second-floor celadon lotus zun before adding more displays. Photography-focused visitors can prioritise the fourth-floor lamp-worked glass hall, the glass flower crowns and the pottery figures at the entrance to the fourth-floor Haidai Hall, although popular spots may require a wait at weekends.
Haidai Tower and Zhongshuge are about 2.5 km away, or around 10 minutes by car, so the museum works well during the day before an afternoon-to-evening visit to Haidai Tower. The two places have separate entry arrangements, ticket rules and opening hours.

About 1.5–2 hours: quick route
Enter through the East Gate, take the lift to the fourth floor, and start in the lamp-worked glass hall. Go down to the third floor for the Warring States glass beads, then the second floor for the celadon lotus zun. Finish with a short visit to the eggshell-black pottery high-stem cup and the gift shop on the first floor. This route covers the main objects in a limited time and suits first-time visitors who have another stop later that day.
If you want the 10:00 or 14:30 guided talk, place the meeting point at the start of the visit. If the talk conflicts with the route, begin independently on the fourth floor. The service may change during the day, so the reference times are not a fixed daily programme.
About 3–4 hours: full route
Visit the museum in the order 4→3→2→1. Spend longer on the lamp-worked glass, modern glass art and Haidai Hall on the fourth floor; add the Five Colours Hall and New Radiance Hall on the third; see the celadon lotus zun and state-banquet porcelain on the second; and finish with the eggshell-black pottery high-stem cup and the gift shop on the first.
If you are going to Haidai Tower afterward, finish the main displays before driving there. Haidai Tower is inside Qisheng Lake Park and is not in the same museum complex, so the two stops require a car transfer rather than a walking connection.
Get there
Buses and entrance
Take bus 138, 158 or 160 and get off at Cultural Centre West Station (文化中心西站) or Taoliu Museum Station (陶琉馆站), then walk to the museum. Use “Zibo Ceramics and Glass Museum” or its East Gate as the navigation target, and follow the floor order after entry.
By car, navigate directly to the museum. It has a free underground car park. After entering the car park, confirm how it connects to the East Gate so that you do not make a second loop between the underground and ground-level entrances.
Know before you go
Reservations and opening periods
Admission is free, but the Alipay mini-program reservation is required before entry. Each day at 00:00, it releases reservations for seven days ahead. The regular Tuesday-to-Sunday hours and the Friday-to-Sunday extended period have different last-entry times, so use 16:30 or 20:00 according to that day's operating period.
Crowds often ease after 16:00 on weekends, although popular objects and photo positions may still involve a wait. If you also want sunset or night views at Haidai Tower, visit the museum earlier in the day to leave time for the transfer and reserved entry.
Photography and food
Glass cases can reflect strongly. When photographing the Warring States glass beads or the celadon lotus zun, adjust your position and phone angle, follow the display instructions, and do not cross the cases or obstruct other visitors.
Boshan cuisine is generally salty and savoury, and some dishes have a sweet-and-sour flavour, so order a small amount if trying it for the first time. Restaurants such as Juyouzhai and Qixiangge may have queues at meal times; arrive before 11:00 for lunch or consider eating before 16:30 for dinner. Boda Finance Restaurant, Qiyun Shicai Wine Culture Restaurant and Donghelou Restaurant are other nearby options.
