Entrances, tickets, and transport inside the park
Yuanshan National Forest Park is at No. 4 Yanshan Park Road, Boshan District. The park has several entrances, and vehicles can enter; the core area is concentrated around Phoenix Mountain. The reference adult ticket price is CNY 30–40, hours are roughly 08:00–17:00, and parking is approximately CNY 10 per visit.
Vehicles may be able to drive for about CNY 10 to the area near Wanghai Tower on the mid-slope. The internal sightseeing bus is approximately CNY 10–15 one way, but may not run on weekdays, so plan a walking route according to the day’s operation. Allow about 1.5–2 hours for a quick route or 3–4 hours for a complete visit.
Choose a nature or cultural route first
Stone Sea, the Qi Great Wall, Yuhuang Palace, and Wanghai Tower are the main first-visit points. Taishan Xinggong, the Qilu ancient battlefield site, and the non-powered playground can be added when time allows. The park works well for combining geological scenery, historic sites, and a short mountain walk in one day.
Some facilities may be under maintenance or have uncertain opening status. Visitors whose priority is mountain views and historic remains can focus on Stone Sea, the Qi Great Wall, and Wanghai Tower, and add other facilities only after confirming that they are open.

Stone Sea, the Qi Great Wall, and Wanghai Tower
Stone Sea consists of many natural rocks and suits visitors who like observing karst landforms and rock textures. The Qi Great Wall follows the ridge and opens views toward the surrounding mountains from the wall and watchtower side. Wanghai Tower is a higher viewpoint and fits naturally into an uphill route.
Yuhuang Palace and Taishan Xinggong add historic buildings and local religious-culture content for visitors interested in architecture and history. At religious sites, incense, donations, and other spending are personal choices. If someone actively promotes them, you can simply decline.
Families and a short outing
The park is close to Boshan urban area and suits a weekend walk or short hike. Whether facilities such as the non-powered playground are open depends on the day’s status. Families with children can keep Stone Sea, the Qi Great Wall, and one rest stop as the main route.
Yanshen Ancient Town is about 5 km away, and Kaiyuan Cave can also be another stop on a Boshan nature-and-ceramics route. The three attractions have separate tickets, so allow for the drive between them and parking at each one.
Build your day
A 1.5–2 hour core route
Enter through the East Gate or Main Gate. According to the day’s vehicle and sightseeing-bus status, choose to walk or ride uphill. Visit the Qi Great Wall and Stone Sea first, continue to the Wanghai Tower area, and finally leave through the North Gate or return by the original route. This route stays focused on Stone Sea, the old wall, and viewpoints, and suits visitors with limited time or average fitness.
If the sightseeing bus is not operating, recalculate the uphill and downhill time for a walking route. There are slopes and steps between Stone Sea and the Qi Great Wall. After Wanghai Tower, leave through a confirmed exit instead of detouring into unfamiliar areas.
A complete 3–4 hour route
Enter through East Gate 1 and visit Taishan Xinggong, the Qi Great Wall, Stone Sea, and the Qilu ancient battlefield site in sequence before continuing to Wanghai Tower at the summit. Descend on foot or by sightseeing bus, then add the non-powered playground or another area if it is open that day, and leave through the North Gate.
Dinosaur Valley, the non-powered playground, and other facilities may be under maintenance or have limited opening. Keep Stone Sea, the Qi Great Wall, and Wanghai Tower as the fixed main route, and add rides only after confirming that they are open.

Driving and buses
By car, navigate to “Yuanshan National Forest Park”; parking is approximately CNY 10 per visit. Vehicles may be allowed toward the mid-mountain core area according to on-site arrangements. By public transport, take Bus 11, 15, 49, or 113 from Boshan Coach Station and get off near the “Yuanshan National Forest Park” stop.
The park has many entrances, and the East, Main, and North Gates serve different route purposes. Decide which entrance you plan to use before navigating, then determine whether Wanghai Tower, the Qi Great Wall, and Stone Sea can fit into one walking line.

Sightseeing buses and facility status
The reference adult ticket price is CNY 30–40. Driving to the mid-slope costs about CNY 10, and the sightseeing bus is approximately CNY 10–15 one way. The sightseeing bus may not run on weekdays, so confirm its operation before leaving and prepare shoes, clothing, and time for a fully walking route.
Some rides may be under maintenance, unused, or temporarily closed. Plan according to the actual status on the day. Stone Sea, the Qi Great Wall, and Wanghai Tower do not depend on a single ride and are suitable as the main route content.
Spending and nearby plans
If someone approaches you near Taishan Xinggong to promote incense or imply that spending is required, stay alert and spend only as you choose. Walking and climbing in the park still require water, and summer visitors should bring sun protection.
Yanshen Ancient Town is about 5 km away, Red Leaf Persimmon Cliff Resort about 8 km away or a 20-minute drive, and Kaiyuan Cave can also be another stop. Calculate driving time, tickets, and parking separately for all three. Qinglongtan Fish Restaurant, Jule Village, Xilinju, and Jiangnan Renjia are possible Boshan-style food options; arrange food and parking according to that day’s opening status.
