Plan at a glance
A separately operated hot spring inside the resort
Hannashan Hot Spring is inside Changbai Mountain Wanda International Resort (长白山万达国际度假区) and can be planned as a separate soak during a ski or resort trip. Check ski passes, hot-spring tickets and hotel benefits under their separate product terms.
Check which pools are open that day
The hot-spring center has indoor and outdoor pools and several themed areas. Choose based on how you like to bathe and who is travelling with you. Plan the hot spring as a separate activity whether you are visiting after skiing or on its own.
Outdoor winter bathing depends on seasonal conditions
A Jilin provincial tourism itinerary published in 2025 combined outdoor hot-spring bathing with skiing. Outdoor pools can be affected by temperature, maintenance and operating arrangements, so the experience is best suited to visitors interested in winter bathing outdoors.

Choose your visit
Explore the hot spring's themed areas
Hannashan Hot Spring has Changbai Mountain-themed, Energy Wellness, Specialty Herbal and Leisure Spring areas. If you prefer a traditional soak, look into the standard pools and Leisure Spring area. If you are interested in herbal bathing, check whether the Specialty Herbal area is open in your season. Each area has its own theme; choose one or two for a visit.
For outdoor pools, check the weather and facilities first
If you want a snow-bathing experience, choose an outdoor pool that is open and enjoy the contrast between the indoor and outdoor settings. Wear non-slip shoes between areas, watch the ground around the pools and follow water-temperature notices. Do not run beside the pools.
Check ski and hot-spring tickets separately
Wanda Resort also has a ski area and water park. If your group has different interests, some people can ski while others visit the hot spring, then meet at an agreed time under their separate bookings. Check the entry benefits for skiing and the hot spring separately.
Build your day
Schedule skiing and the hot spring at different times
If you plan both on the same day, ski first. Return your equipment at the ski service point, change and eat, then go to the hot spring. Skiing in the morning can leave the afternoon for bathing. Work backward from the hot spring's last entry time to set your finish time on the slopes, and confirm the resort shuttle between the hot spring and your hotel.
Choose one or two open areas after you enter
At the hot-spring center, check the pool notice for the day and choose one or two indoor, outdoor or themed areas. Allow time to wash, change and collect your belongings. After using an outdoor pool in winter, put on warm clothes before heading to the shuttle stop.
Confirm the return shuttle when you book
After your soak, return using the transport in your booking. Before setting out, check whether the resort shuttle serves the hot spring, where to board and when the last service runs. If you are staying outside the resort, arrange your return vehicle separately.
Get there
Enter Wanda Resort first, then find the hot spring
Navigate to Changbai Mountain Wanda International Resort, then use the resort map or hotel service desk to find the entrance to Hannashan Hot Spring. The resort places the hot spring in the resort town's commercial-street area. Before arriving, check whether your drop-off point is near the actual entrance.
Check the shuttle even if you are staying in the resort
Confirm shuttle stops and schedules between your hotel and the hot spring based on where you are staying. When booking your hotel, ask whether resort transport is available, how to reserve it and when the last service runs. At night in winter, follow the resort's directions for walking.
Arrange a round trip from outside the resort
If travelling from the airport, a railway station or another attraction, check whether the drop-off point is close to the hot spring, how long the driver will wait and how you will return. For a multi-stop day, allow time to travel to your next stop. A 2025 Jilin tourism itinerary lists Hannashan Hot Spring's information number as 0439-6985333; confirm it is still active before calling.
Know before you go
Check prices, hours and last entry for your date
Before paying, check that day's operating hours, last entry, outdoor pool access, cancellation terms and discounts. Use the product page for your visit date to confirm the ticket price and valid time slot.
Ask about supplies and extra charges
Before buying a ticket, ask whether towels, slippers, lockers and toiletries are provided, and which items must be rented or paid for separately. Follow the hot-spring center's rules if you need to bring your own supplies.
Follow the hot-spring center's rules
Use the pools, showers and changing areas according to the posted hygiene, safety and age rules. Outdoor surfaces can be slippery in winter, so walk carefully. If you feel unwell, leave the pool and ask a staff member for help. If a pool is closed or under maintenance, use only areas that remain open; do not enter behind barriers or look for an unauthorized outdoor pool.
