Plan at a glance
A resort with hotels and activities in one area
Changbai Mountain Wanda International Resort is in Songjianghe Town (松江河镇), Fusong County, Baishan. The resort describes its area as about 21 square kilometers, with a hotel cluster, ski area and resort town. You can focus your trip on skiing or add activities such as hot springs, a water park or a sightseeing cable car on other days.
Make skiing the main winter activity
The resort lists more than 30 ski runs with a combined length of about 33 kilometers, across beginner, intermediate, advanced and terrain-park categories. The total number of runs does not mean that all are open that day. Check the ski area's latest opening notice before you leave, then follow the trail map, lift status and staff instructions on site.
Check what is included for other activities
Hannashan Hot Spring (汉拿山温泉), the water park, Waku Ice and Snow Park (哇酷冰雪乐园) and the sightseeing cable car are all listed as resort activities. A room rate or ski package may include some of them; check the booking terms for the number of visits, valid dates and eligible guests. Budget separately for any activity not listed in your package.

Choose your visit
Choose a ski area by ability and open runs
Wanda Ski Resort has beginner, intermediate and advanced runs, as well as a terrain park, served by several lifts. First-time skiers should start in a lesson area or on a beginner run. More experienced skiers can choose a route from the current trail map. Access rules can differ by entrance, lift and package; follow the terms for your booking and the ski area's notices.
If you are new to skiing, learn the basics first
Before your first run, find out how beginner slopes, lessons and equipment rental work, and allow time to get used to ski boots, skis and stopping. Check your booking to see whether an instructor, lesson or rental equipment is included.
Leave time for activities beyond skiing
The resort also lists Hannashan Hot Spring (汉拿山温泉), an indoor water park, Waku Ice and Snow Park (哇酷冰雪乐园), the Guosong Mountain sightseeing cable car (果松山观光缆车) and the resort town. Choose one as a half-day activity based on the season and your interests. Check the current operating dates and entry conditions for each activity.
Build your day
Half-day skiing: sort out tickets and gear first
On arrival, go to the ski service point specified for your ticket. Check your lift pass, equipment pickup and lift access before heading out. If you are new to skiing, get comfortable with your boots and skis and practise stopping in a beginner area. Check your booking to see whether rental equipment and lessons are included.
Full-day ski: plan breaks and time to change
In the morning, choose open runs suited to your current ability. Stop at a designated rest point for water and equipment adjustments, and finish skiing when you become tired. If you plan to visit the hot spring or resort town in the evening, check those hours separately from the ski area's closing time so skiing, changing and transfers do not overlap.
For a multi-day trip, separate skiing from other activities
The resort lists the hot spring, water park, ice and snow park and sightseeing cable car as separate activities. You can set aside a full day for skiing and another for non-ski activities, then choose based on your group's interests. If you are staying only one night, decide which activity matters most and check whether it needs a separate booking or ticket.
Get there
Set your destination to your hotel or service point
The resort is in Songjianghe Town, Fusong County. After booking accommodation or ski services, navigate to the hotel, equipment service point or shuttle stop named in your booking. The West Scenic Area Visitor Center (长白山西景区游客中心) is not an entrance to the ski area inside Wanda Resort. The resort and the West Scenic Area are separate destinations; arrange separate transport and tickets if you plan to visit both.
Check resort transport after you check in
Shuttle buses run between hotels and activity points in the resort; taxis and chartered cars can also be arranged. Ask your hotel or the service desk about that day's routes, fares, stops and last service, and reserve a ride in advance when needed.
Arrange airport and railway-station transfers ahead of time
Airport round-trip buses are scheduled around flights, but departure times vary by hotel. Confirm your bus with your accommodation in advance. Check railway station names and train times against your ticket. The resort's information number published in a 2025 Jilin tourism itinerary is 4000-987-666; verify that it is still active and confirm transfer arrangements with your hotel.
Know before you go
Check the season opening and daily snow conditions
The usual ski season runs from mid-November to early April. The resort's 2025–2026 season report gave November 20 as the planned opening date that year. Check the resort's latest notice for the 2026–2027 opening date, runs and lifts in service, and weather conditions before travelling.
Read the ski-pass, package and rental terms
Ski passes, accommodation packages, equipment, lessons, hot springs and the water park may be separate benefits. Before paying, check the ski date and time slot, areas included, equipment type, insurance or deposit, and the number of visits allowed for add-on activities. Check current ski-pass prices and operating hours in the seasonal notice and on the booking page.
Follow trail signs and ski-area rules
The resort's safety guidance asks skiers to learn the run layout and difficulty, control their speed for their ability, watch the weather, snow and other skiers, and follow signs. If you need to walk along a run, keep to the side. Warm up before your first run and use equipment as directed on site. Leave a closed run immediately when staff direct you to do so, and do not enter areas that are not open.
