Location and entrance
Cangzhou Aquarium is in the basement level of the Cangzhou Water World theme-park building (沧州水世界主题乐园), about 200 m east of the junction of Beijing Road and Jilin South Avenue, on the south side of the road. The aquarium has its own route and ticket; entry and exit are at the same point. Inside the building, follow the signs for the aquarium or marine hall.
Tickets and opening hours
Reference prices are CNY 128 for adults and CNY 64 for children. Check the ticket page for the child ticket’s age or height requirements. Online bundles and discounts change; confirm the ticket type and what it includes before buying. No reservation is needed; tickets are available online or at the venue. The aquarium is open daily from 09:30 to 18:00, subject to operating changes.

The cylindrical tank, jellyfish and sharks
The prominent cylindrical tank near the entrance is a natural first stop. Continue along the loop to the jellyfish area and shark pool. Other animals may include large rays, otters, clownfish and silver arowana; displays can change.
Undersea tunnel and shows
The undersea tunnel leads to the mermaid-performance area, where you can stop for a show. The sea-lion show is another family-friendly highlight. Check that day’s schedule and animal displays.
Tropical rainforest and specimen wall
If you have more time, continue through the tropical-rainforest area toward the specimen wall, with fish tanks along the way. The butterfly and seashell displays, cartoon-shark tunnel and interactive tank are also photo stops. This is a compact aquarium focused on a short loop, rather than a large marine park.
Who will enjoy it
Most visits take around 40 minutes to two hours, making this a short indoor stop for families or a relaxed day in Cangzhou. It can also be a break from hot weather. There is no passenger lift inside the aquarium, which may make access with a stroller difficult. If you want to see a show, check its time before choosing when to enter.
Build your day
A focused 40-minute loop
Check the day’s show schedule when you enter, then follow the one-way loop past the cylindrical tank, jellyfish and sharks. If a nearby mermaid or sea-lion show is about to start, watch it first and continue around the loop afterward. The route ends at the same point as the entrance, back inside the theme-park building.
A 1.5–2-hour full visit
Start in the tropical-rainforest area, continue through the undersea tunnel and watch the mermaid show if the timing works. Then visit the sea-lion show area, follow the loop past the jellyfish and shark tanks, and finish at the specimen wall. The shows do not have a fixed schedule, so adjust the one-way route after checking the program.
Get there
Bus and train
Take bus 31, T31, 402 or T420 to Cangzhou Stadium (沧州体育馆). From the stop, walk about 200 m to the junction of Beijing Road and Jilin South Avenue, then continue east to the entrance on the south side. Inside the building, follow the aquarium or marine-hall signs down to the basement level.
From Beijing South Railway Station, the high-speed train to Cangzhou West takes about one hour. A taxi from the station to the aquarium takes around 10 minutes.
Driving, parking and charging
Parking at the theme-park lot is about CNY 2 per hour. There are no charging posts in the lot. For fast charging, use the Teld charging station (特来电充电站) beside Cangzhou Stadium. Parking spaces and fees may vary.
Know before you go
Tickets, shows and animal displays
Online promotions change frequently. Check the date, ticket type and whether the aquarium is included. Mermaid and sea-lion showtimes vary with operations; check the day’s program after entering. Animal displays can also change, so a particular species may not be on view.
Strollers and optional feeding
There is no passenger lift inside the aquarium, which can make bringing a stroller inconvenient. Feeding activities for fish or otters cost around CNY 20 each and are optional. Snacks such as grilled sausages are sold inside.
Other stops nearby
Cangzhou Museum, Cangzhou Library and the Civil Defense Museum can be planned as separate stops around the city; arrange transportation between them individually. For a quick bite, there are snacks inside the aquarium, with other choices around the theme park depending on what is open.
