What you will see
Tianmu Lake Landscape Park is at 1 Huanhu West Road in Tianmu Lake Town, Liyang, Changzhou. Allow 2–5 hours. The park combines lakeside paths, Huli Hill, Longxing Island, China Tea Island and boat rides. First-time visitors should decide whether to include Longxing Island, because the island adds boat travel, steps and return time.
A quick route takes about 2–3 hours and suits older adults, children and visitors who mainly want lake views and Tea Island. A highlights route takes about 4–5 hours and includes the boat and Longxing Island. Adult tickets reference CNY 90–120; half-price and platform products vary by date, eligibility and package, so confirm whether the main ticket, boat and island transport are included together.
A daytime lake itinerary
Reference hours are 08:00–17:00, with entry stopping after 16:00. Thunderstorms, typhoons and other severe weather may affect boat services or parts of the park; when planning a boat route, do not push the return to the last boat.
Tianmu Lake Landscape Park, Nanshan Bamboo Sea and the two hot springs have different entrances. They work better as a drive-based or two-day combination, not as one ticket or one walking route.

Huli Hill and the lakeside
Huli Hill includes Ocean World, the Strange Stone Museum and Zhuangyuan Pavilion. It suits families and visitors who want an indoor or short walking section near the lake. The flower steps near the main entrance are an easy photography point, while the lakeside path is suited to a relaxed walk when you are not trying to catch a boat.
First-time visitors with average mobility can make Huli Hill and China Tea Island the main visit. Confirm separately whether the boat, Ocean World, Strange Stone Museum and island transport are included in the ticket.
Longxing Island
Longxing Island is the park's main island experience and is reached by boat. It has Butterfly Valley, the Elf Kingdom pet park and viewpoints, and suits families, nature lovers and visitors wanting a high view over Tianmu Lake. It has more steps and noticeably more walking effort than the lakeside section.
The island viewpoint looks over the lake and its islands, while the boat deck gives changing views of the water and landscape. Visitors who find slopes difficult, or who use a stroller or wheelchair, should prioritize Huli Hill and Tea Island and treat Longxing Island as optional.
China Tea Island
China Tea Island focuses on tea culture, with landmarks such as the “World's First Teapot,” Jiangnan Tea Village and Zizai Bridge. Its buildings and tea settings are good for photography and a slower lake visit. The walk from Tea Island to the exit is long, so account for it before leaving.
Build your day
About 2–3 hours: easy route
Enter through the main entrance, visit Huli Hill, follow the lakeside path to China Tea Island, see the Tea Culture Garden, the “World's First Teapot” and Jiangnan Tea Village, then leave. This route skips Longxing Island and reduces boat travel and slopes, making it suitable for limited time, older adults and young children.
There are walking sections from the main entrance to the lakeside and from the dock to Tea Island. When crowds are heavy, the exit direction and final walking section affect how long you can stay on Tea Island.
About 4–5 hours: highlights route
Enter through the main entrance and make a short visit to Huli Hill before taking the boat to Longxing Island. Visit Butterfly Valley, the Elf Kingdom and the viewpoint, then take the boat to China Tea Island for the “World's First Teapot,” Jiangnan Tea Village and Zizai Bridge, and walk to the exit.
This route includes boat schedules, queues, island steps and the long walk from Tea Island to the exit. Leave the island or complete the final boat trip earlier in the afternoon; the 17:00 last boat cannot be treated as a delay buffer.
Boats and the return journey
The boat is the transport link between the islands, not just a photo experience. The order of Longxing Island and Tea Island depends on the dock location, boat schedule and last boat; leave the islands by about 16:30 where possible, and do not treat the 17:00 last boat as a flexible departure.
If weather worsens or boat services change, keep Huli Hill, the lakeside and Tea Island as the walking alternative. Complete the islands and long walking sections early enough to avoid being pushed onto the last boat.
Get there
High-speed rail, driving and parking
A taxi from Liyang Station takes about 20 minutes. Drivers should navigate to “Tianmu Lake Landscape Park Car Park”; parking is referenced as free with relatively good capacity.
The park is in Tianmu Lake Town, Liyang, rather than in Changzhou's central urban area. Visitors without a car should account for the trip from Liyang Station, the return after the visit and possible waiting time, especially when catching a train or continuing to another attraction.
Pets and movement inside
Pets with a shoulder height below 60 cm are allowed, but taking one to Longxing Island by boat may cost extra. Also consider the boat rules, island steps and crowding when bringing a pet.
The visit relies mainly on walking, boats and island paths. The walk from Tea Island to the exit is more than about 1 km, and the island steps and large entrance staircase add to the physical demand; consider them when choosing shoes, a stroller and companions.

Prices, reservations and weather
Adult tickets reference CNY 90–120. Seniors, students, children and other eligible visitors may receive discounts of about CNY 45–60, while temporary online offers may appear. Compare package contents and confirm whether the boat, island transport, Ocean World and other venues are included.
The park generally recommends advance booking through an online platform or related channel, especially during holidays. Hours are about 08:00–17:00, with entry stopping after 16:00. Thunderstorms and typhoons may affect boats and area openings, so keep a weather alternative for the day.
Mobility, food and nearby attractions
Longxing Island has many steps, and the entrance staircase and walk from the car park to the gate add to the load. Visitors using strollers or wheelchairs, or carrying large luggage, should prioritize the lower-intensity Huli Hill, lakeside and Tea Island route. Holiday road traffic and dock queues also extend the visit.
Food and merchandise inside are relatively expensive, so bring water and simple snacks. Nanshan Bamboo Sea is about 20 km away; Liyang Museum, Fang所 Cultural Village and Pingqiao Stone Dam are other possible stops, but each requires separate transport and time.
