First decide whether Xiuwen is worth the dedicated trip
China Yangming Cultural Park is in Xiuwen County, not central Guiyang. It suits travelers interested in Wang Yangming, Longchang Enlightenment, or Yangming philosophy. If you only want a quick old-building stop, Yangming Temple in the city saves much more time.
Plan a half day around ticket and transport cost
Use CNY 30 as the adult ticket and 08:30-17:30 as the opening window. Driving from central Guiyang takes about 1 hour. By public transport, you can reach Xiuwen County first and then take a taxi, but the connections are less convenient than city attractions.
Start with Yangming Cave, then see the memorial hall and academy
After entering, go first to Yangming Cave, the core site in the Longchang Enlightenment story. Then continue to Wang Yangming Memorial Hall, Longgang Academy, Zhixing Heyi Square, and other key points.
Treat Wanyiwo as an optional add-on
If you are very interested in Wang Yangming's story and have enough time, consider adding Wanyiwo Site Park nearby. For a normal visit, the cultural park itself is enough.
