How to Visit
1

Treat Huaxi Park as a free city park walk

Huaxi Park is open all day, free to enter, and does not need a ticket. It is best for walking, river views, small bridges, and a relaxed short break, rather than a large paid-scenic-area route.

Tip:If you only want the core sights, 1.5-2 hours is enough. For a slower walk and a meal nearby, make it a half-day plan.
2

Use Metro Line 3 to Huaxi Park Station

Take Metro Line 3 to Huaxi Park Station, then walk about 400 meters to the park. Buses 203, 248, and 223 also stop near Huaxi Park.

Tip:Huaxi has many nearby stops to combine, but driving and parking are not always easier than using the metro.
3

Start with Pingqiao Bridge and Baibu Bridge, then choose Linshan or Qiyuan

After arrival, see the Huaxi River, Pingqiao Bridge, and Baibu Bridge first. Then choose Linshan viewpoint or Qiyuan Garden based on your energy. In autumn, add Golden Avenue to the route; in other seasons, it is not worth a special detour.

Tip:Baibu Bridge uses stone stepping points, so watch your footing. Do not rush elderly visitors or children across it just for photos.
4

Eat outside the park afterward

Food is easier outside Huaxi Park than inside. Huaxi beef rice noodles, grilled tofu, and ice jelly are all better arranged after the walk.

Tip:Do not treat Huaxi Park as a food destination. Finish the core walk first, then go out to eat.
Highlights
  • Baibu Bridge is the clearest visual memory of Huaxi Park and works well for a short photo stop.
  • The Huaxi River and Pingqiao Bridge area are good for a slow walk without a complicated route.
  • Linshan is not high, and the viewpoint gives a simple overview of the park and river.
  • Golden Avenue is most worthwhile in autumn; in other seasons, its value is lower.
  • Qiyuan Garden suits visitors who like literature links and quiet courtyard spaces.
Insider Tips

Huaxi Park and Shili River Beach are connected but not the same place, so check navigation carefully.

The park is free and open all day, but avoid walking too deep into quiet sections at night.

Wear comfortable non-slip shoes. Baibu Bridge and riverside stone surfaces can be slippery after rain.

If visiting Yelang Valley or Qingyan Ancient Town the same day, use Huaxi Park as a relaxed transition stop.

In autumn, Golden Avenue gets more crowded, so go earlier for photos.
