Plan at a glance

Location and focus

Heilongjiang Bridge Park is about 8 km from central Heihe. The main entrance is near the Bridge North Ecological Ground Parking Lot. The main stops are the observation tower and riverside path; from the tower you can see the bridge and the outline of the city across the river, although visibility depends on the weather.

Tickets and timing

The park is free and does not require a reservation. It is usually open all day, while the observation tower normally operates until 19:00. Tower hours may change with the season or operating arrangements, so confirm that it is open and check the last time for going up before departure.

Choose your visit

Observation tower and bridge panorama

The observation tower gives a higher view of the Heilongjiang Bridge, river, and the outline of the city across the water. You need to climb several flights of stairs, so include the climb in your plan if you want to go up.

Riverside path

The ground paths are mostly flat, so you can walk by the river before going to the tower. In the evening, the path and tower can be combined in one visit; the bridge lighting and the opposite-bank night view depend on that night’s conditions.

Bridge-themed post office

The tower contains a bridge-themed post office. After visiting the tower, check whether commemorative stamping is available. Commemorative stamping may require buying a specific postcard or notebook, and both the charge and stock depend on the day.

Flat paths or the tower

The park paths are mostly level and suit a short walk, while the tower requires several flights of stairs. If someone in your group cannot manage the stairs, they can stay on the riverside path while another visitor goes up.

Build your day

Quick visit: entrance and tower

Enter near the Bridge North Ecological Ground Parking Lot, go up the observation tower for the bridge and opposite-bank view, then return to the entrance. This takes about 30 minutes. If you skip the tower, use the riverside path for a shorter stop.

Full visit: path, tower, and post office

Allow about 1–2 hours. Walk along the river first, go up the observation tower, and then check the themed post office for commemorative stamping. If you want to see the evening view, confirm the tower’s closing time first and decide whether to leave the path until after dark.

Evening timing

The tower usually closes at 19:00, so arriving at 18:30 leaves little time to go up. If you want both the tower and an evening walk, confirm that day’s tower hours first. Whether the paths are lit and how the bridge lighting looks depend on the on-site arrangement.

Get there

Navigation and parking

Search for “Heilongjiang Bridge Park”; the main entrance is near the Bridge North Ecological Ground Parking Lot. The parking lot is large and free. Navigate to the park or the parking lot, then follow the entrance signs.

Bus and taxi

There is no direct bus to the park. Bus Route 7 goes to Changfa Village Committee, followed by about 1 km on foot; in winter, the vehicle may not enter the park. For older adults, children, or anyone who cannot walk that distance comfortably, driving or taking a taxi is more practical. The park is about 8 km from central Heihe; confirm the pickup point before arranging the return.

Know before you go

Tower hours and the evening view

The last time for going up and seasonal arrangements may change, so check with the park on the day of your visit. Sunset, visibility, and the bridge lighting depend on the weather and that evening’s arrangement.

Walking, stairs, and on-site rules

The park paths are mostly flat, but the observation tower requires several flights of stairs. Whether the tower has a lift or step-free access has not been confirmed. Stay in public visitor areas and follow park and border-area signs when taking photos; keep away from controlled facilities and bridge work zones.

Stamps and food

Stamping at the themed post office may require a special postcard or notebook, so read the on-site instructions first. There are few restaurants near the park; you can return to central Heihe for a meal. Confirm the taxi pickup point or bus arrangement before leaving.

Holiday crowds and river wind

The park may be busy on holiday evenings. The riverfront can be windy, so bring a light windproof layer after dark.
