Jinhe Grand Canyon is near Shanshenfu Village along Provincial Highway S302 in Aihui District, about a 30-minute drive from central Heihe towards Jiagedaqi. The main experience is the Ω-shaped canyon, forest boardwalk, and viewpoint. Allow about 1 hour for a quick visit or 2–3 hours for a fuller visit.
Tickets and opening hours
Adult admission is around RMB 50; holders of a Heihe city identity card may have a RMB 25 ticket. The sightseeing vehicle costs RMB 10 for a return trip and is optional. No reservation is normally required. Typical opening hours are 08:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:00; confirm the day’s price, concession eligibility, and hours at the ticket office.

The Ω-shaped canyon and viewpoint
The canyon’s main feature is its Ω-shaped landform, best understood from the viewpoint above it. If your time is limited, make the viewpoint the priority and then walk part of the main boardwalk to see where the canyon meets the forest.
Forest boardwalk and birch woods
The wooden boardwalk crosses the forest, with especially strong color changes in the birch woods and autumn hills. There are steps along the route, so it requires some leg strength; the birch area can also be a rest stop on a longer visit.
Monorail cart, cliff swing, and rafting
The Tengfei monorail cart and cliff swing both cost extra and are not included in the admission ticket. Kuerbin River rafting operates only in summer; confirm whether it is running and its hours on the day.

Quick route: viewpoint and main boardwalk
Enter through the main gate and follow the main boardwalk to the viewpoint. After looking over the Ω-shaped canyon, follow the signs back; the quick route takes about 1 hour. The return sightseeing vehicle is optional. Confirm its boarding point, stops, and any walking after getting off from the day’s route map or staff.
Full route: forest boardwalk and paid activities
Explore the canyon and viewpoint along the open main paths. Where the on-site signs place them, you can choose paid activities such as the Tengfei monorail cart or cliff swing. Allow about 2–3 hours; if you skip the rides, continue along the open paths and follow the signs back to the main gate.
Longer stop: birch woods or summer rafting
After the main paths, you can rest in the birch woods. If Kuerbin River rafting is operating in summer, leave additional time for it. Its departures, duration, and price were not specified, so ask the scenic area before adding it to the day’s plan.
Summer rafting and the return
For summer Kuerbin River rafting, confirm the boarding point, transfers, duration, and price separately. Before including it, check the departure times, the scenic area’s closing time, and transport back to Heihe. If rafting is suspended, use the time for the main canyon path or return earlier.

Driving to the entrance
From central Heihe, follow S302 towards Jiagedaqi for about 30 minutes, turn near Shanshenfu Village, and then navigate to the main entrance of “Jinhe Grand Canyon”. The scenic area has a parking lot; enter and park according to the on-site signs.
Coach, day tour, and return
If you are not driving, look for a return coach or a local day tour. Confirm the departure point, timetable, and return arrangement with the operator before setting out. There are few restaurants near the canyon, so return to Heihe for a meal or bring simple food and hot water. If you combine this with Aihui Historical Exhibition Hall on the same day, treat them as separate stops and confirm the transport connection and opening arrangements for both.

Operating changes and tickets
The scenic area may close in winter, and its hours and last-entry time depend on that day's operating conditions. The RMB 25 concession is for Heihe city identity-card holders; visitors from elsewhere and foreign passport holders should ask the ticket office whether they qualify. Also check the day’s admission price and whether the sightseeing vehicle is operating.
Steps, shoes, and supplies
The wooden boardwalk has many steps and some sections require good stamina, so wear shoes with reliable grip. Food options along the route are limited; bring drinking water and, for a full visit, some simple food.
Crowds and extra activity costs
Autumn is the main viewing season, and weekends and public holidays can be busy. A weekday or earlier arrival is usually more relaxed. The Tengfei monorail cart costs about RMB 68 and the cliff swing about RMB 50; both are extra, and the price and operation of each activity follow the on-site notice.
