Wetland birdwatching by boat
Bird Paradise is a wetland park on Yinhu Avenue in Xinhui, known for its ancient banyan tree, boat route and birdwatching. Land entry is CNY 25, a boat ride is CNY 50, and a combined ticket is CNY 65.
The park is open from 08:00–17:30, with last entry at 17:00 and the final boat at 16:50. Allow 2–3 hours.

Short visit or full first route
For a short visit, see Ba Jin Square, take the boat ride, walk to Egret Shadow Bridge and finish at the birdwatching tower. Allow 1.5–2 hours.
For a fuller first visit, start with the bird science museum, take the roughly 40-minute boat ride, then visit the bridge, corridor, tower and waterside exhibition area.

Boat first, then the viewing paths
Confirm your boat time first, then fit the museum and land-based trails around it. Take the boat during the morning or late afternoon, when bird activity is stronger.
Afterwards, walk through Egret Shadow Bridge and the birdwatching corridor, then use the tower’s binoculars to observe the banyan area.
Get there
South Gate and rail connections
Drive to Bird Paradise Car Park; the South Gate Visitor Centre is close to both the car park and the boat pier. From Xinhui Railway Station, a taxi ride takes around 15 minutes.
From Jiangmen city centre, take bus 209, 213 or 218 to Bird Paradise Station, then walk around three minutes. Parking is around CNY 10 per visit.
Know before you go
Birdwatching with care
The best birdwatching periods are 08:00–10:00 and 16:30–17:30. Birds are less active at midday. February to May is useful for observing nesting activity, while November to January usually brings more migratory birds.
Keep quiet, do not feed or disturb birds, and do not use flash photography or drones. Wear comfortable flat shoes and bring sun protection, mosquito repellent, water and light snacks.
