Ming-dynasty architecture in central Jiangmen
Chen Baisha Ancestral Hall is in Pengjiang District, Jiangmen. It is a historic site centred on Ming-dynasty architecture, memorial spaces for Chen Baisha and calligraphy culture. Entry is free and no booking is normally needed.
It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00–17:00, with last entry usually between 16:00 and 16:30, and is closed on Mondays. Allow 1–2 hours.

Short stop or city culture walk
For a short visit, see the Chastity Archway, Chunyang Hall and Biyu Tower before stopping by the stele corridor. Allow around one hour.
For a fuller visit, add Chastity Hall, Chongzheng Hall and the calligraphy gallery. Continue to Wuyi Overseas Chinese Plaza, Qimingli or Thirty-Three Xu Street for a city culture route.

Buildings, then calligraphy
Begin with the Chastity Archway, then continue to Chunyang Hall and Chastity Hall before reaching Chongzheng Hall and Biyu Tower. Leave the stele corridor and calligraphy gallery for the latter half of the visit.
If you want to join a calligraphy, mortise-and-tenon or rubbing activity, check the day’s schedule when you arrive.
Get there
Easy access from central Jiangmen
Drive to Chen Baisha Memorial Hall. From central Jiangmen, take buses 2, 6, 11, 14, 17, 20, 103, 113 or 118 to Baisha Temple Station.
The site is also convenient by bicycle from nearby city districts. Parking at the entrance is limited, so arrive early or park nearby and walk.

Timing and heritage activities
The hall is closed on Mondays, and public-holiday opening arrangements should be checked before setting out. The grounds have greenery and ponds, so bring mosquito repellent and wear comfortable shoes.
Audio guides or on-site interpretation are useful for understanding Chen Baisha’s ideas and the architectural details. Some heritage activities take place on selected afternoons.
