Plan at a glance

Hot springs and mountain leisure

Gudou Hot Spring Town is in Yamen Town, Xinhui. It is a leisure destination built around hot springs, mountain views and resort facilities. Hot Spring Valley admission is CNY 70–86. Combination tickets are available for travellers who also want the cable car, glass bridge or water park.

Hot Spring Valley is open from 08:30–24:00, while the Caishen cable car operates from 09:00–18:00. A day trip is possible, but an overnight stay gives you more time for the springs and evening atmosphere.

Choose your visit

Day trip or overnight stay

For a day trip, take the Caishen Mountain cable car, visit the glass bridge, relax in Hot Spring Valley and stay for the town’s evening views. Allow 6–8 hours.

For a two-day visit, arrive around midday, check in, use the springs and evening facilities on day one, then take the cable car or hike Caishen Mountain on day two.

Build your day

Outdoor views before the springs

On a day trip, take the cable car and complete the glass bridge first, then return to Hot Spring Valley for the later afternoon and evening. This keeps outdoor views in daylight and makes the springs more comfortable when temperatures drop.

For an overnight stay, check in first, then use the springs and evening pools. The following morning, choose the cable car or hike according to the weather.

Get there

Best by car, with rail connections

Driving is the easiest option; navigate to Gudou Hot Spring Town. Parking is CNY 5 per hour, with around 4–5 hours of free parking available with eligible tickets.

From Jiangmen Railway Station, a taxi takes around 40 minutes. Bus 212’s Gudou route takes around 1.5 hours. Direct buses from Jiangmen and Xinhui coach stations are available but services are limited.

Know before you go

Tickets, weather and hot-spring comfort

Choose tickets according to whether you want only the springs or also the cable car, glass bridge and water park. Bring swimwear, a swim cap, a waterproof phone pouch and drinking water.

Cable-car and glass-bridge views are best in clear weather; fog can reduce visibility. Weekends are busiest in the afternoon, while evening soaks are usually quieter.
