Temple, lake and forest trails

On an easy visit, make Yutai Temple and Swan Lake your main stops. Complete the flatter path first, pause by the lake, then decide whether to walk or take the sightseeing bus downhill.

For a longer route, continue from Yongzhen Mountain Gate through the forest to Yutai Temple, Lühu Taoyuan and Longquan Ecological Trail.

Driving, buses and the sightseeing bus

Drive to Yongzhen Mountain Gate Car Park or Shijian Park Car Park. From Jiangmen city centre, buses 103, 303, 311 and 312 stop at Guifeng Mountain.

The sightseeing bus costs CNY 13 to Mingsifang, CNY 15 to Lühu Taoyuan and CNY 28 for the full route. Decide your stop before boarding because buses do not stop between stations.

Weather, supplies and safety

Bring at least 1.5 litres of water and energy snacks. Wear shoes with good grip; trails can be slippery after rain. Avoid the mountain during thunderstorms or heavy rain.

Public holidays and the autumn foliage season can bring heavy traffic, so arrive early. Longer hikes are best done with a companion.
