Coastal boardwalks and sea-eroded rocks

Naqin Peninsula Geological Ocean Park is in Beidou Town, Taishan. It is known for coastal boardwalks, sea-eroded rocks, blue-and-white buildings and bay views. On-site tickets are around CNY 125; advance tickets are usually CNY 88–98.

The park is open from 08:00–18:00. Allow around six hours for a full visit. Clear weather is especially important here because it affects sea colour, boardwalk conditions and overall views.

Choose your visit

Short photo route or two-day coast stay

For a shorter visit, begin at the blue-and-white church and photography area, walk the first section of the coastal boardwalk, then finish at a sunset viewpoint. Allow 3–4 hours.

For a first visit, stay two days and one night. On day one, walk the full boardwalk, photograph the blue-and-white buildings and stay for sunset at the rocky shore. On day two, continue to nearby Langqin Bay.

Build your day

Boardwalk, architecture and sunset

Walk the coastal boardwalk in the morning, passing sea-eroded formations such as Dolphin Rock, Monkey Watching the Sea and Smooth Sailing. Use the afternoon for the blue-and-white architecture and photography area, then continue to the sunset rocks.

If you stay overnight, use the second morning for the seaside facilities before heading to Langqin Bay.

Get there

Best reached by car

Driving is the easiest option; navigate directly to Naqin Peninsula Geological Ocean Park. Parking at the entrance is free. The drive from the Pearl River Delta takes around 2–3 hours.

By rail, Yangjiang Railway Station is the more convenient arrival point for a taxi or shared ride. Buses also run from Taishan Coach Station to Beidou Town, followed by local transport.

Know before you go

Weather, footwear and coastal safety

Buy tickets in advance and choose a clear-weather day where possible. Some boardwalk sections can be steep or damp, so wear shoes with good grip and bring sun protection, water and snacks.

White Horse Bay can be suitable for shore foraging at low tide, but pay attention to tides and rocky ground. Drone use must stay clear of military areas.
