A slower Taishan island stay
Shangchuan Island is in Chuandao Town, Taishan. It is known for beaches, Windmill Mountain, fishing harbours and a slower island pace. Travel from Shanzui Port to Sanzhou Port takes around 30 minutes. A one-way ferry ticket is CNY 55.
Ferries usually run between 07:00 and 18:00; check the day’s timetable before travelling. A day trip covers the main views, but two days and one night are more relaxed.

Day trip or overnight route
For a day trip, combine Feisha Beach, Wangyu Rock, Windmill Mountain and Shadi Fishing Harbour. Allow around 8–9 hours.
For a first visit, stay overnight. Spend the first afternoon at Gongwan Beach, watch sunset from Windmill Mountain, and have dinner in Shadi Fishing Harbour. On day two, see sunrise at Feisha Beach, then visit Wangyu Rock and Gaoguan Village.

Beach, viewpoint and fishing harbour
On a day trip, take the ferry from Shanzui Port, start at Feisha Beach, continue to Wangyu Rock for wider beach views, then reach Windmill Mountain before sunset. Finish in Shadi Fishing Harbour for dinner.
For two days, use the first afternoon for Gongwan Beach and Windmill Mountain, then reserve the next morning for Feisha Beach and Wangyu Rock.

Ferry and island transport
Drive to Shanzui Port; parking is around CNY 30–40 per day. From Taishan Railway Station, the journey to the port takes around one hour by taxi or shuttle bus.
After arriving at Sanzhou Port, compare vehicle rental prices and terms. E-bikes are usually CNY 100–150 per day, motorcycles CNY 150–200 per day, and small cars CNY 250–350 per day.

Weather, tickets and sea-island basics
Book ferry tickets around two days ahead in peak season. Typhoons can suspend sailings, so check weather and ferry services before departure. Buy ferry tickets separately unless your itinerary genuinely needs the bundled scenic-area attractions.
Strong sun and mosquitoes are common on the island, so bring sun protection and repellent. At Shadi Fishing Harbour, confirm seafood prices and preparation charges before ordering.
