Plan at a glance

The conference site at No. 504 Hexi Road

Lushan Conference Site is at No. 504 Hexi Road in Guling Town. Navigate to “Lushan Conference Site”; the entrance is directly in front of the building. The site is covered by the Lushan pass, and the visit focuses on the main building, the second-floor conference room and the Anti-Japanese War Museum in the annex, rather than Meilu Villa’s residential displays.

Reservation and opening hours

From July 1, 2026, Lushan Conference Site is part of Lushan’s real-name reservation pass for cultural museums and historic venues. Use the “一机游庐山” mini program to choose a morning or afternoon slot; each slot has a reservation limit of 6,000 people. One successful reservation covers the Conference Site, Meilu Villa, Lushan Museum and Lushan Wenboyuan (庐山文博苑) during the selected period, with no need to reserve each venue separately. From March 15 to October 15, opening hours are 09:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:45; from October 16 to March 14, they are 09:00–16:45, with last entry at 16:30. The site closes all day on the first and third Tuesday of each month, except on public holidays.

Choose your visit

Three conferences and the main building

The main building’s displays centre on the conferences held in 1959, 1961 and 1970, with related documents, photographs and objects. The second-floor main conference room is the key stop; read the historical information alongside the room and its furnishings.

The Anti-Japanese War Museum and reconstructed venue

The Lushan Anti-Japanese War Museum in the annex reconstructs the venue of the 1937 Lushan Talks, including table settings and name cards. The stone building with both Chinese and Western elements, the main-building displays and the reconstructed room suit visitors interested in modern history, political history or educational visits.

How long to stay

Visitors with a strong interest in history can allow 1–1.5 hours and read the main building, conference room and annex in that order. With less time, see the first-floor exhibition, the second-floor main room and the Anti-Japanese War Museum in 30–40 minutes. The indoor space is more compact than the mountain attractions, with displays, conference rooms and reconstructed settings as the focus; take photos according to the indoor rules.

Build your day

A 30–40-minute short route

Enter the main building and start with the exhibition on the three conferences. Go upstairs to the second-floor main room, then finish at the Anti-Japanese War Museum in the annex and its reconstructed 1937 venue. This order takes about 30–40 minutes; finish on Hexi Road or at the sightseeing-bus stop.

A 1–1.5-hour highlights route

Read the documents, photographs and objects on the first floor in more detail, pause in the second-floor main room, then continue to the annex for its reconstructed displays. Allow about 1–1.5 hours. If you continue along Guling’s heritage route, you can visit Meilu Villa or Lushan Museum; these venues share the cultural-venue reservation pass, so no separate venue booking is required, but their opening hours and closure days still apply separately.

How to finish the visit

Leave from Conference Site Station by sightseeing bus, or walk back to Central Park and Hemian Street (合面街) before returning to Guling Town for food. Peak periods may bring evening opening from 17:00 to 20:00, but include it in an evening plan only when the day’s notice or on-site information confirms it.

Get there

By sightseeing bus or on foot

Take the Lushan scenic-area sightseeing bus to “Conference Site Station”; the entrance is directly in front of the building. You can also walk from Central Park or Hemian Street (合面街). On foot, queue at the main entrance for the reserved time slot before entering the main building and annex.

Connecting with Guling’s heritage stops

The Conference Site, Meilu Villa and Lushan Museum can form a half-day heritage route in Guling Town. Move between them on foot or by sightseeing bus according to the day’s conditions. Finish in Hemian Street (合面街) or Main Street for a break or meal; prices around the attractions are usually higher than below the mountain.

Know before you go

Monthly closure and possible evening opening

The site closes all day on the first and third Tuesday of each month, except on public holidays; use the monthly schedule when planning. In peak periods, including a possible August evening session, the site may open from 17:00 to 20:00. This is a possible arrangement, not a daily evening schedule.

Last entry and indoor crowds

From March 15 to October 15, the site is open 09:00–17:00 and stops admitting visitors at 16:45. From October 16 to March 14, it is open 09:00–16:45 and stops admitting visitors at 16:30. Indoor rooms may be crowded in peak periods or on public holidays; an early visit is better for the displays and conference-room furnishings. The reservation uses morning and afternoon slots, and a full slot cannot be replaced by waiting on site.

Food and the history boundary

After the visit, return to Hemian Street (合面街) or Main Street in Guling Town for food; Lushan Shiji (庐山石鸡), a local frog dish, and Lushan potato casserole are local options. Meilu Villa covers residential history and the courtyard, while this page covers the three conferences, second-floor main room and Anti-Japanese War Museum. The two venues share the cultural-venue reservation pass, but their opening hours, closure days and displays are handled separately.
