Longting Hall and the raised platform
Longting Hall stands on a raised platform reached by 72 steps. The surviving main structure is a Qing-dynasty reconstruction. From the platform in front of the hall, you can look over Pan Lake, Yang Lake, and Kaifeng's cityscape. The main interest is the elevated view, the building form, and the layout of the lakes.
Ruins of the former imperial city
The remains of Daqing Hall, the west wall of the imperial city, and the north wall provide physical clues to Kaifeng's layered-city history. The story that Pan Lake and Yang Lake have different water qualities is a local legend; focus on the visible lakes and historic remains during the visit.

Longting Park suits visitors interested in Kaifeng's urban history, former city walls, and elevated views. It also works for photography and a short walk. If you want to continue through the three parks, enter at the South Gate and include Tianbo Yang Mansion's and Hanyuan's opening times and combination-ticket rules in the plan.

A 1–1.5 hour central-axis route
Enter through the South Gate, follow the central axis up to Longting Hall, view Pan Lake, Yang Lake, and the city from the front platform, then continue to the bonsai garden on the east side. You can leave through the North Gate after the short route and continue to Tianbo Yang Mansion; the internal connection depends on the passages open that day.
Longting Hall sits above a concentrated flight of steps. Visit the lakeside or bonsai garden after coming down, rather than moving repeatedly between the steps and lake area, for a smoother route.
A 3–4 hour three-park route
Enter Longting Park through the South Gate. Visit Longting Hall and the two lakes first, then use the internal passage to continue north to Tianbo Yang Mansion and China Hanyuan Stele Forest. The connections can reduce the amount of walking outside, but each park still has its own ticket, opening hours, and visit focus.
The three-park combination ticket may require use on the purchase date, so confirm the valid date before buying. If time runs short, finish the core route in the parks you have already entered instead of rushing through all three and shortening the Longting Hall and ruins visit.
A free lakeside viewpoint
Along the lakeside side of Longting East Road, public walking areas and benches outside the park offer views of the lake and Longting Hall. The usable photo positions, lakeside path, and benches depend on the areas open that day.
Get there
Public transport and south gate
Bus routes 1, 15, 20, and 30 stop at “Longting Park” (龙亭公园站). For a taxi, use “Longting Park South Gate” as the destination and enter through the South Gate for the central-axis route.
North-gate exit
For a route that continues to Tianbo Yang Mansion and China Hanyuan Stele Forest, enter at the South Gate and move north. The North Gate works as the exit for the later part of the three-park route. The internal passages are available only when the parks open them; after leaving, use the outside roads for navigation.
