The three courtyards
The Middle Courtyard contains Tianbo Tower and Xiaoyan Shrine and focuses on the residence architecture and Yang family generals theme. The East Courtyard's Training Ground hosts performances such as Yang Family Horse Battle (《杨家马战》) and The Seventh Son's Challenge (《七郎打擂》). The West Courtyard's Yang Family Garden is centred on pavilions, waterside buildings, and plants and has a quieter pace.
The three courtyards offer different experiences. Visitors interested in performances can put the East Courtyard earlier in the route, while garden-focused visitors can leave the West Courtyard for later.
Tianbo Tower and lakeside views
Tianbo Tower is one of the higher structures in the complex. From the tower, you can look over the mansion and the connected Yang Family Lake. The lake is useful for photographs of the buildings, water, and red carp, but the view changes with the weather, season, and areas open that day.

This attraction suits visitors interested in the stories of the Yang family generals, reconstructed residences, live performances, and Song-style gardens. Families can choose a short performance route, while photographers can spend longer at Tianbo Tower, Yang Family Lake, and the West Courtyard garden.

A 1-hour show-focused route
Enter through the South Gate and go first to the East Courtyard Training Ground. Check the day's sessions for Yang Family Horse Battle or The Seventh Son's Challenge, then move through Tianbo Tower and the residence area in the Middle Courtyard towards the West Gate. Performance sessions, seating, and viewing areas follow the programme for that day.
If no suitable performance is running, visit the Middle Courtyard buildings and Tianbo Tower, then add the West Courtyard if it is open. South-Gate entry and West-Gate exit keep a short visit from doubling back.
A 2–3 hour courtyard route
Enter through the South Gate and visit the Middle, East, and West Courtyards in order. Start with Tianbo Tower and Xiaoyan Shrine, continue to the East Courtyard Training Ground, and finish in the West Courtyard's Yang Family Garden. The buildings, performances, and garden have different pacing, so include the waiting time between sessions in the total.
Longting Park, Tianbo Yang Mansion, and China Hanyuan Stele Forest are connected by internal passages, but each park sells admission separately. If you plan to visit them consecutively, confirm the entrance, passage, and combination-ticket validity for that day first.
Conditional photography timing
If the weather and season are suitable around 16:00, diagonal light may appear on the west wall of the Training Ground. Treat it as a possible photo position rather than a fixed light show. Yang Family Lake, Tianbo Tower, and the West Courtyard garden are more dependable photography points.
Get there
Public transport and south gate
Bus routes 1, 15, 20, and 38 stop at “Tianbo Yang Mansion” (天波杨府站). Walk about three minutes from the stop to the South Gate. If you begin the three-park route at Longting Park, enter through Longting's South Gate and move north through the internal passage.
Connections to Hanyuan and the park area
Tianbo Yang Mansion connects with Longting Park and China Hanyuan Stele Forest through internal passages. Hanyuan's North Gate faces Millennium City Park's Yingbin Gate. Walk through the open passage for the day; after leaving the parks, use the outside roads for navigation.

The combination ticket for Longting, Tianbo Yang Mansion, and Hanyuan may require use on the purchase date, so check the validity when buying; it does not necessarily support visits across multiple days.

Walking and courtyard order
The complex is not large, but several performances plus all three courtyards add waiting and walking. South-Gate entry, the Middle Courtyard for architecture, the East Courtyard for the Training Ground, and the West Courtyard for the garden form a workable complete route. With limited energy, shorten the West Courtyard or see fewer performances.
