A film-set attraction in the mountains
Weihushan Film City is in the mountains of Hengdaohezi Town, Hailin. It has one entrance with a ticket office and car park. Most of the visit is on foot, with the scenes concentrated around Linhai Town, Weihu Hall and Jiapi Gully.
Tickets and opening hours
Adult admission is CNY 45 and the student ticket is CNY 22. There has previously been a CNY 80 combined-ticket arrangement with the Northeast Tiger Park; no reservation is required. The official reference hours are 08:30–17:00, but opening may be less fixed outside holidays when visitor numbers are low. Confirm any combined ticket and the closing time at the window.

Choose your visit
Weihu Hall
Weihu Hall recreates scenes from *Tracks in the Snowy Forest* (林海雪原). Inside, visitors can see details such as the bandit hall, tiger-skin chairs and secret passage. Visitors interested in the film or novel can make it the first stop; follow the indoor management rules when taking photos.
Jiapi Gully and Linhai Town
Jiapi Gully recreates Northeast village elements such as thatched houses, corn towers and wooden fences. Linhai Town focuses on retro streets and shopfront sets. When the snow is deep, the huts, fences and snow in Jiapi Gully make good photo settings; summer is better for vegetation and buildings.
Who will enjoy the film sets
Fans of *Tracks in the Snowy Forest*, photographers seeking period atmosphere and families can allow 1–3 hours. This is a film and folk-culture set attraction with limited commercial services. For a fuller experience of everyday Northeast town life, schedule the public streets of Hengdaohezi separately.
Build your day
The 1–1.5-hour fast route
Enter and go straight to Weihu Hall, then walk through Jiapi Gully to see the thatched houses and wooden fences, and leave via Linhai Town. With limited time, complete these three core areas first. The gate tower is a useful panorama stop before the exit.
The 2–3-hour complete route
After entering, get familiar with the scenes in Linhai Town, then follow the mountain road to Weihu Hall and visit Shenhe Temple on the way. Continue deeper into Jiapi Gully and finish at the Bandit Suppression Exhibition Hall. In deep winter snow, allow more time for photos in Jiapi Gully; in summer, adjust the pace for walking and sunlight.
Combining it with the Northeast Tiger Park
The Northeast Tiger Park is about 900 metres from the film city, and there has previously been a combined-ticket arrangement. The two attractions have separate entrances, opening hours and visit content. If you visit the tiger park first in the morning, confirm whether you will walk, be picked up or have the driver wait before leaving; finding a taxi immediately may be difficult.
Get there
From Hengdaohezi East Station
Take a high-speed train from Harbin or Mudanjiang to Hengdaohezi East Station, then take a taxi for about 10 minutes to the film city. Driving takes about 1.5 hours from Mudanjiang or about 3–4 hours from Harbin. There is no metro service; drive the mountain sections according to the navigation and weather.
Parking and walking
The film city has a free car park at the entrance. Most movement inside is on foot, with mountain roads between Linhai Town, Weihu Hall and Jiapi Gully. Supplies inside are limited, so bring water and snacks before taking the longer route and arrange your return vehicle in advance.
Know before you go
Opening status and combined tickets
08:30–17:00 is the official reference schedule, but hours may move earlier or change outside holidays. Confirm whether the combined ticket is available and whether both the tiger park and film city are open that day. Opening at one venue does not establish that the other is open.
Winter photography and summer differences
Snow changes the look of Jiapi Gully, the gate tower and wooden houses, but mountain roads become colder and more slippery. Summer brings fuller vegetation, potentially fewer visitors and a stronger sense of the film sets. Wear non-slip shoes according to the snow conditions, and do not enter closed scenes or climb unavailable facilities without permission.
Food and the return trip
Shops inside may be empty, so stock up on foods such as jinbing flatbread and malatang in Hengdaohezi Town. The locomotive depot, old Russian-style street and church can be visited on the way back, but each has its own opening days. Arrange transport before leaving the tiger park or film city.
