Free area and visit length

Yuantuojiao Scenic Area is in Yinyang Town, Qidong. The main entrance is east of the intersection of Linlian Road and Haiyin Line. Yuantuojiao itself is free and open all day. Nearby projects such as Golden Beach and Evergrande Bihai Silver Sand charge separately, and their tickets do not apply to Yuantuojiao.

The coastal road and main viewpoints take about 1.5–2 hours. A fuller route covering the Three-Water Confluence Monument, Yinshi Tower, the Two-Colour Sea viewpoint and the White Lighthouse takes about 3–4 hours. Some key viewpoints are about 1.5 kilometres from the entrance, and walking is exposed to sea wind and sun.

Navigation and arrival points

Some navigation apps may direct visitors to an old site when searching for Yuantuojiao Scenic Area. Use the Linlian Road–Haiyin Line intersection or the area near Evergrande Coastal Resort as the final navigation point. The area has parking at about CNY 10 per visit. The visitor centre and electric-cart service usually operate 09:00–23:00, subject to the day's arrangement.

The three-water confluence and sunrise

Yuantuojiao's main attractions are the meeting of the Yangtze River, Yellow Sea and East China Sea, and the sunrise view from the eastern side of Jiangsu's mainland. The Three-Water Confluence Monument, Yinshi Tower viewpoint, Two-Colour Sea viewpoint and White Lighthouse suit photography and geography-focused visits.

The painted road at the Most Fresh Road, the White Lighthouse and the sea embankment are also good photo subjects. Check the sunrise time and arrive early for sunrise. For warmer coastal light, place the Most Fresh Road and lighthouse before sunset.

Who it suits

Yuantuojiao suits photographers, nature and geography enthusiasts, and self-driving visitors who want a quieter coast without a large resort complex. Much of the shore is hard tidal flat and embankment. Families looking for sand and water play may prefer Golden Beach.

Build your day

About 1.5–2 hours: the viewpoint route

Enter at the main entrance and walk first to the Three-Water Confluence Monument and Yinshi Tower. Continue to the Two-Colour Sea viewpoint and White Lighthouse, then return along the painted section of the Most Fresh Road. With limited time, keep Yinshi Tower, the lighthouse and one coastal viewpoint as the priorities.

About 3–4 hours: a photography route

Arrive around 09:00, walk to the Three-Water Confluence Monument and Yinshi Tower, then follow the sea-embankment path to the China National Geography photo frame. Have a simple meal nearby, take an electric cart to the White Lighthouse in the afternoon, and finish at the Most Fresh Road for sunset light.

Electric carts are charged by the half hour; confirm how a partial half-hour is billed before renting. The main viewpoints are spread out, so reduce the number of stops according to the sun, wind and the group's walking ability rather than forcing a full circuit.

Get there

Driving and high-speed rail connection

Driving from Nantong or Shanghai is the most convenient option. Navigate to the Linlian Road–Haiyin Line intersection or the area near Evergrande Coastal Resort. You can also take high-speed rail to Qidong Station and then take a taxi, which takes about 30–40 minutes.

The area has a P1 car park at about CNY 10 per visit. Inside the scenic area, use walking and electric carts. Carry water, sun protection and light walking shoes.

Know before you go

Free boundary and harvesting limit

Yuantuojiao itself is free and open all day; Golden Beach and Bihai Silver Sand charge separately. The Yuantuojiao shore is mostly hard tidal flat and is better for viewing. To dig clams or catch crabs, go to Golden Beach and use the low-tide window of about two hours before or after low tide.

The coast is windy and exposed to ultraviolet light. Tidal flats may contain broken shells, so do not go barefoot; non-slip river shoes or rain boots are better. Local prices can be high, so bring water and snacks.

Driving connections

Golden Beach is about a 10-minute drive away for visitors who want a harvesting experience. Lvsi Xianyu Town is about 40 minutes away for a fishing-port extension. The three locations have separate tickets, opening arrangements and routes; they are not one walkable coastal park.
