Locate the negotiation site first
The negotiation site is in Anyuan Town, Anyuan District, Pingxiang, Jiangxi. Its core building is the Gongwu Zonghui Building (公务总汇大楼), the former administrative building used by the railway and mining authorities, about 160 metres southeast of the junction of Junyi Road and Zongping Lane. The Anyuan Railway and Mines Workers' Movement Memorial Museum is usually the gathering centre for the wider revolutionary-history area, but the museum, negotiation site and Zongpingxiang (总平巷) are separate visiting points that should be connected on foot according to their locations.
Free entry and the museum's hours
These points are generally free to visit. The Anyuan Railway and Mines Workers' Movement Memorial Museum requires QR check-in as directed on site and commonly opens Tuesday–Sunday 09:00–11:30 and 13:30–16:30, closing Monday except statutory holidays. The negotiation site, Zongpingxiang (总平巷) and other points may follow different opening arrangements, so confirm each one after arrival.

The negotiation site and Gongwu Zonghui Building (公务总汇大楼)
The Gongwu Zonghui Building (公务总汇大楼) was built in 1906 as an office building for the railway and mining authorities. It was also the historical site of Liu Shaoqi's 1922 negotiation visit. The two-storey red-brick European-style building is the main historic structure at the site, especially relevant to visitors interested in modern Chinese history, revolutionary history and historic architecture. It refers to this negotiation site only.
Industrial remains at Zongpingxiang (总平巷)
At Anyuan Coal Mine Zongpingxiang (安源煤矿总平巷), you can see the old main shaft area, tunnel rails and, when operating, a narrow-gauge train. The train's status depends on the day. This industrial site is next to the negotiation site and fits naturally into the same short walking route.
The memorial museum for the wider context
The Anyuan Railway and Mines Workers' Movement Memorial Museum is a national first-class museum. Its artefacts, photographs and simulated mine experience explain the history of the Anyuan workers' movement. The museum square has 136 steps, so this visit requires more time and energy than the short route covering only the negotiation site; it suits visitors who want the historical context before seeing the former sites and industrial remains.

1–1.5-hour short route
Go directly to the negotiation site, visit the Gongwu Zonghui Building (公务总汇大楼) and learn about Liu Shaoqi's negotiation visit, then walk to nearby Anyuan Coal Mine Zongpingxiang (安源煤矿总平巷). The two points work well together. This short route does not include the memorial museum, Shenggongci (盛公祠) or Mao Zedong's Former Residence; observe the rails and train status at the industrial site on the day.
3–4-hour highlights route
Start at the Anyuan Railway and Mines Workers' Movement Memorial Museum, complete the on-site QR check-in and museum visit, then continue to Shenggongci (盛公祠), the negotiation site, Zongpingxiang (总平巷) and Mao Zedong's Former Residence, ending with food at Anyuan Old Street. The museum steps come at the beginning and the later points are mainly connected on foot. Since each point may have different hours, adjust the order around what is open that day.
Guide service and the finish
The museum offers free guided tours; check the museum notice or ask staff for the day's schedule. After the visit, eat at Anyuan Old Street. If you still have time in Pingxiang city, Nanzheng Street's 1921-themed café can be an afternoon tea or dinner stop.

Railway stations and buses
A taxi from Pingxiang North Railway Station or Pingxiang Railway Station to Anyuan Scenic Area takes about 20–30 minutes. From Pingxiang city, bus routes 19 and 3 go to Anyuan. First-time visitors can navigate to the Anyuan Railway and Mines Workers' Movement Memorial Museum, then walk to the negotiation site and Zongpingxiang (总平巷).
Driving, parking and walking
Public car parks are available near the memorial museum and surrounding points. After parking, connect the main points on foot. Use “about 160 metres southeast of the Junyi Road and Zongping Lane junction” to locate the negotiation site, and follow on-site signs for the entrances to the museum, Shenggongci (盛公祠), Zongpingxiang (总平巷), Mao Zedong's Former Residence and Old Street.

Check each point's hours separately
The negotiation site, memorial museum, Zongpingxiang (总平巷) and smaller former sites may not share the same opening hours. Common museum hours are Tuesday–Sunday 09:00–11:30 and 13:30–16:30, with Monday closure and possible statutory-holiday changes. The museum uses QR check-in, and arriving before 16:00 is advisable; these hours apply to the museum only, while other points need separate confirmation.
Steps, surfaces and clothing
The museum square has 136 steps between the lower area and the museum, so count this climb in the longer route. Mine and historic-building areas may have coal dust on the ground; dark, easy-to-walk-in shoes and clothing are practical. Zongpingxiang (总平巷) contains rails and other industrial remains, so photograph from open paths and areas allowed on site.
Photography, food and nearby stops
The red-brick arch and rails at Zongpingxiang (总平巷) work well for low-angle shots, while the negotiation site works for architectural portraits. From below, the museum square offers a view of the 136 steps, sculptures and main building. Anyuan Old Street has food; if time allows, add Lu Deming Martyrs Cemetery. Nanzheng Street and the 1921-themed café are options for a break after returning to the city.
