Zhenyuan Ancient Town

Choose your transport into Zhenyuan first

From Guiyang, the faster option is high-speed rail to Sansui Station, then about 40 minutes by road to Zhenyuan. The cheaper option is a normal-speed train to Zhenyuan Railway Station, then a taxi or local bus into the old town. Self-driving is possible, but parking inside the old town is limited.

Separate the free old town from paid sights

Zhenyuan Ancient Town's street area is free. Use it for riverside walks, Zhusheng Bridge, Sifangjing Lane, and Renshou Lane. Qinglongdong, Shiping Mountain, Wuyang River, and boat rides are separate paid items. You do not need to buy them all.

Walk the old lanes and riverside during the day

In the morning, walk around Zhusheng Bridge, Sifangjing Lane, Renshou Lane, and Zhenyuan Museum, while avoiding a hot midday climb. The old town is compact and works best on foot, so there is no need to take taxis back and forth inside the town.

Choose one paid site for the afternoon

For architecture and religious space, visit Qinglongdong Ancient Architectural Complex. For the full "Taiji Ancient Town" view, go up Shiping Mountain. In summer or with average fitness, do not force both a climb and Qinglongdong into the same afternoon.

Keep the evening for the riverside and your lodging choice

After dusk, walk along Wuyang River. Zhusheng Bridge and the riverside lights are the best parts of Zhenyuan at night. If you want a boat ride, consider the ancient-town night water tour. If not, walking is still enough.
