Beer production and city history
Tsingtao Beer Museum is at 56 Dengzhou Road in Shibei District. The basic ticket costs CNY 60 for adults and CNY 50 for students, and includes Galleries A and B, one glass of unfiltered beer, one glass of fresh beer and one packet of beer peanuts. Allow about 2 hours for the complete visit, or about 45 minutes for a short stop around the exterior and exit area.
Peak-season reservations and opening hours
It usually opens 08:00–18:00 from April to October, with possible night hours until 21:00 during the July–August summer period. From November through March, hours are usually 08:30–17:30. Tickets can be tight in July and August, so reserve a timed entry three to five days ahead. The museum serves alcohol, so driving is not the preferred way to arrive.

Gallery A history and Gallery B brewing
Gallery A focuses on Tsingtao Beer history and old equipment, while Gallery B shows brewing methods and the production line. Time Garden, red-brick walls, the beer-bottle wall and the copper brewing kettles suit visitors interested in industrial history, city culture and architectural photography.
Beer tasting and the Drunken House
In the middle of Gallery B, you can collect the unfiltered beer included with the ticket. Near the exit, collect the fresh beer at 1903 Music Restaurant; the unfiltered beer must be consumed inside the museum. The Drunken House uses a tilted space to create a feeling of weightlessness and works for a short experience and photos. The bakery outside sells bread made with beer yeast.

The approximately 2-hour complete route
Enter through the ticket hall and start with Gallery A's history and culture exhibition. Continue through Time Garden into Gallery B's brewing exhibition, then visit the Drunken House, collect the second beer at 1903 Music Restaurant, and leave through the cultural-products shop and exit. The tasting points are in different areas, so follow the route and check that you have collected both before leaving.
The approximately 45-minute short route
When time is limited, you can skip Galleries A and B and focus on the exterior red-brick buildings, the giant beer tank and the exit area. Then decide whether to stop at 1903 Restaurant or the bakery. The giant tank is beside the road; take photos from the pedestrian area and do not stand in the middle of the traffic lane.
Get there
Metro and bus
Take Metro Line 1 to Guangrao Road Station or Metro Line 2 to Lijin Road Station, then walk about 8 minutes. Buses also stop at “Tsingtao Beer Museum.”
Parking and the return journey
Parking around the museum is limited, so public transport is easier. Beer tasting is part of the visit; do not drive after drinking. If anyone in the group needs to drive back, arrange a non-drinking driver in advance.

Tickets and timed entry
The basic ticket includes Galleries A and B and two different beers. A guided-tour ticket is about CNY 98 and can be selected on site. Timed reservation is recommended in peak periods, especially July and August; night opening and exact hours depend on the day's arrangement.
Photography and alcohol
The museum's stable lighting, jellyfish-style lights and glass displays are suitable for photos, but avoid strong lights that disturb other visitors. Unfiltered beer has a short shelf life and must be consumed inside. Keep beer tasting separate from driving back.
