Coastal area and separate entrances
Beidaihe (北戴河) is an open coastal area made up of several parks and seaside stops. There is no single entrance or ticket for the whole area. From west to east, the main stops are Lianfeng Mountain (联峰山), Tiger Stone (老虎石), Pigeon Nest Park (鸽子窝公园), and Biluo Tower (碧螺塔). Each park has its own entrance checks and opening hours.
One day or two
In one day, choose Lianfeng Mountain and Tiger Stone, or save the early morning for Pigeon Nest and the evening for Biluo Tower. Allow two days if you want to include the mountain, beach, wetland sunrise, and nightlife. Pigeon Nest and Biluo Tower are about 1.7 km apart, a 24-minute walk, so they can be paired in one day for an early-morning and evening visit.

Mountains, beach, wetland, and night activities
Lianfeng Mountain offers elevated sea views. Tiger Stone is good for a beach walk and a look at the rocky shoreline. Pigeon Nest is known for sunrise and wetland birdwatching, while Biluo Tower has seaside architecture and evening activities. The four stops offer different experiences; choose two or three based on your group rather than rushing through all of them in one day.
Choose a pace for your group
Families can vary the pace between the beach, Pigeon Nest's wetlands, and Lianfeng Mountain. Photographers can watch the sunrise at Pigeon Nest and take night photos at Biluo Tower. Visitors who enjoy walking can walk between Tiger Stone and Lianfeng Mountain, about 1.6 km or 23 minutes. Shared bikes and electric scooters are also useful for short coastal trips.
Build your day
Day 1: Lianfeng Mountain and Tiger Stone
Visit Lianfeng Mountain in the morning, then go to Tiger Stone in the afternoon for a walk or time by the water. The two are about 1.6 km apart and can be linked on foot. Check each park's entry window and last-entry time before setting out. If you want to see the sunset, choose another public stretch of coast confirmed open that day; do not plan to watch it inside Tiger Stone after the park closes.
Day 2: Sunrise at Pigeon Nest and evening at Biluo Tower
Enter Pigeon Nest before dawn according to that day's opening time and watch the sunrise. Rest by the coast or nearby, then go to Biluo Tower in the evening. Check Pigeon Nest's sunrise entry time and Biluo Tower's evening activities and departure arrangements separately; opening schedules vary by season and day.
Overnight stay and evening departure
If you stay overnight, consider the trip back after the evening activities and the following morning's journey to Pigeon Nest. Before booking, check the first bus of the day, transport after the evening crowds leave, and actual travel times rather than relying on straight-line distances. Park closing times and the last bus do not necessarily match, so arrange transport before leaving at night.
Walking and cycling between stops
Pigeon Nest and Biluo Tower are about 1.7 km apart, or a 24-minute walk. Tiger Stone and Lianfeng Mountain are about 1.6 km apart, or a 23-minute walk. If you have children, are heading out for sunrise, or will leave at night, use a taxi or electric scooter instead. Watch for vehicles and crowds when cycling along the coast.
Get there
Arriving in Beidaihe and local buses
Take a high-speed train to Beidaihe or Qinhuangdao Railway Station; Beidaihe Station is closer to the main coastal attractions. Buses 34, 37, 5, and 21 connect the stations with several attractions. In peak season, buses may take detours and run slowly. Check your stop and return service before leaving.
Short trips along the coast
Ride-hailing is a flexible way to travel between stops, although traffic can build up around the parks in peak season. Shared bikes and electric scooters work for short coastal trips. Each park has its own entrance: Tiger Stone is on Zhonghaitan Road (中海滩路), and Pigeon Nest is at 25 Gechi Road (鸽赤路). Set the name of the specific park as your navigation destination.

Tickets and opening arrangements by park
Each attraction has its own ticketing, discount, and opening rules; tickets, entry windows, and night admission are not interchangeable. Before setting out, check the day's notice from Pigeon Nest, Tiger Stone, Lianfeng Mountain, or Biluo Tower. Pay particular attention to last entry, whether night activities are open, and how you will return.
Sunrise, sunset, and weather
Pigeon Nest is a sunrise spot, but clouds and air conditions may prevent you from seeing the sun. Check the park's opening time before planning to enter before dawn. Wind and light at Tiger Stone and Biluo Tower vary with the weather. Include the walk back and the time you need to leave before closing when planning photography or a beach stop.
Food, crowds, and nearby areas
Coastal roads can be congested in peak season; be cautious of drivers soliciting passengers. Ask about prices before ordering at seafood buffets. Dining options include Qingshan Fandian (庆山饭店), Ye Cunli Haixian Daxian Jiaozi (叶存利海鲜大馅饺子), and Daihe Jingji Haixian Jiaozi Guan (戴河景季海鲜饺子馆). If you also visit Shanhaiguan, allow separate travel time; it is outside Beidaihe's walkable coastal area.
