Location, tickets and opening hours
Jiangqiao Anti-Japanese War Memorial is in Jiang’an Community, Jiangqiao Mongolian Town, Tailai County. Navigate to “Jiangqiao Anti-Japanese War Memorial” and enter through the memorial site. Admission is free. Check the day’s notice for booking, registration and accepted documents; international visitors should confirm in advance how to book and enter with a passport or other accepted document. Reference hours are Tuesday–Sunday, 8:30–11:30 a.m. and 2:00–5:00 p.m. The memorial is closed on Mondays and does not admit visitors from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
How much time to allow
Allow about 1.5 hours for the main building’s first- and second-floor exhibitions, the square statue and the memorial tower. Add the outdoor stops in the nearby Anti-Japanese War Relics Park for a total of about 3–4 hours. These times do not include travel from Qiqihar; the midday closure and return train can significantly affect the day’s plan.
For a train trip, the ride takes about one hour each way, and Jiangqiao Station is about a 10-minute walk from the memorial. With 1.5–4 hours for the visit, allow at least half a day. Your return train determines whether there is time to visit the relics park.

Main building exhibitions
The main exhibitions explain the background, course and historical significance of the Jiangqiao Resistance. They include artifacts related to Ma Zhanshan and campaign maps. Both the first and second floors are open to visitors. The exhibitions are a memorial and history-learning space; keep quiet as you visit.
Ma Zhanshan statue and memorial tower
A mounted statue of Ma Zhanshan stands in the memorial square, alongside the memorial tower and other outdoor stops. The area helps visitors understand the layout of the memorial site. When taking photos, treat it as a memorial space and avoid playful poses or weapon gestures.
Anti-Japanese War Relics Park
The relics park and memorial are two separate areas. Outdoor features include reconstructed trenches, a Japanese army blockhouse and remains of the Nenjiang railway bridge. These are sites connected with wartime history; follow on-site directions, do not climb on the remains and stay out of restricted railway areas.

Short visit: exhibitions and memorial square
Enter the main building and visit the first- and second-floor exhibitions to learn about the Jiangqiao Resistance and Ma Zhanshan. After leaving the building, walk to the square to see the mounted statue and memorial tower. Allow about 1.5 hours. If you arrive close to 11:30 a.m., first check whether there is enough time to enter; avoid waiting at the entrance during the midday closure.
Full visit: add the Anti-Japanese War Relics Park
After the main building and memorial square, follow on-site signs to the Anti-Japanese War Relics Park and see the outdoor trenches, blockhouse and railway bridge remains. Allow about 3–4 hours. The park and memorial buildings have different entrances and walking areas; ask for the route between the two areas and follow the marked path.
Visiting on a train day
If traveling by train, check the day’s arrival and return departures at Jiangqiao Station before deciding between the short route and the relics park. For an afternoon visit, note that the memorial reopens at 2:00 p.m. and leave time for the return trip.
Get there
Train and walk
Check trains from Qiqihar Station to Jiangqiao Station. The ride takes about one hour, but departures and return times vary by date; check the day’s railway timetable before travel. From Jiangqiao Station, it is about a 10-minute walk to the memorial. There is no direct bus connection to the site within Jiangqiao Town.
Driving and parking
Navigate to Jiangqiao Anti-Japanese War Memorial. Free parking is available at the memorial site. After parking, follow signs to the main building to register. If you also plan to visit the relics park, ask where its entrance is and how to walk there; do not look for the stops by following the railway on your own.
Know before you go
Midday closure, temporary closures and return travel
The memorial closes for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., is closed on Mondays and may close temporarily for maintenance. It is a long way from the city, and you should not assume trains back are available at any time. Confirm that the memorial is open and check return train departures before arranging the day.
Memorial grounds, walking and food
There is an outdoor walk between the main building and the relics park. Wear comfortable shoes and follow on-site directions, especially around the railway. Jiangqiao Hotel and Renmin Hotel may serve local dishes such as braised fish; check menus and hours on the day. Leave time for a meal and the walk before your return train.
